History:
Purchased Stock with 99,981 miles. LX was in great shape just needed to be base lined. The car was a two owner car. The car had been serviced by both owners at Lexus before I got her. They also both lived in Florida. She was/still is in great condition. I base lined all fluids, rebuilt the front axels and gave her a complete tune-up. I also replaced the PHH (pesky heater hose). Engine:
Aux Cooling fan from a Toyota Tercell, I have this switched so I can turn it off and on however when the key to the car is off fan will not work. This way the battery will not be dead in the morning. I’ve removed the running boards and the hood has a few small chips / dents. I’ve also repainted the grill to match the wheels using duplicolor graphite wheel paint.
Extras:
Included are a Slee aux light harness (NIB), Toyota OEM fog light switch (NIB), extra front wheel bearings (always good to have a spare), 3 Toyota square hazard switches (2 with pigtails), receipts for a ton of parts, fluids, maintenance, fire stick spring mount, and 2 diff housing gaskets.
Maintenance:
Front Axel rebuild – 15k ago. Fluids replaced at the same time: Front Diff, Rear Diff (also replaced rear seals for good measure), transfer case, transmission drained and flushed once at home and once at the quickly lube (wanted to make sure I got all new fluid), oil (I used 10w30 synthetic). Plugs, wires, rotor, and cap replaced. Replaced air filter with Toyota washable (OEM). The throttle body was cleaned also. PHH was replaced with blue silicone hose and clamps (I still have the scars to prove it!). Radiator flushed and filled about 10k ago.
Brakes- Brake fluid flushed and replaced. LSPV adjusted to compensate for lift. The brakes are nice and firm and stop better than stock due to the pads, ss lines, slotted and cross drilled rotors, and new fluid!
Condition:
2 owner LX450 drives great! It is in great condition and there are 0 (zero) issues. LX has been base lined. It burns NO oil between oil changes. It does not leak oil from any where! This car has lived its entire life in Florida and is in stunning condition. Never been in an accident to my knowledge and looks great. Paint is very shinny. Few small nicks from normal use. Glass is in great shape and front windows were just tinted to match rear (lumar bronze 35%). Interior is in great shape and carpet looks great. Ice cold AC. Transmission shifts perfectly. Engine idels and pulls great. Power seats work great! No drive-line vibs from lift since I installed the Slee caster plates.
The long and short is this LX450 looks great and has been built for comfort and reliability. I am OCD and the LX was perfect when I got it and it is even better with all the mods IMHO. It rides great and is ready for a trip to Moab or beyond.
Known issues: radio light out on two buttons (tape & CD)
