bearings and rings question

I was wondering what bearings and rings you guys are running in your rebuilds. I have everything torn apart right now, pistons are out so its definately getting new rings. Havn't found to many options for aftermarket rings other than DNJ and ITM, never heard of them before.

The bearings look really good but I will probably just replace them while i'm in there. I have found Clevite rod bearings for less than $30 for the set, about $60 for the main bearings and right at $20 for the thrust washers. I have heard a lot of good things about Clevite.

I am assuming most people just go with OEM. I have not gotten a price from Dan or Beno yet, I have a feeling it will be several hundred dollars. Anyhow, I would like to hear others experience with this.
 
NPR rings are available standard bore. I am wondering it they supply the oem rings. price is good

No experience with NPR rings. No experience with any rings for that matter. Where are you finding them in standard bore ?

Did you need +.25mm bearings because you had the crank machined ?

I'm rebuilding an engine that came out of one of my trucks that had a rod knock. The shop ended up turning both the rod and main bearing surface of the crank. STD bearings are available everywhere, the +.25mm I got from Real street performance on the web.
 
So the Clevites are anywhere from 1 to 3 ten thousandths smaller then what I have currently in the motor. Anybody think this will make a difference ? I would think the 15w-40 that I run would take care of that.

Another thing I'm finding interesting, hopefully I understand this right. So the rod and main bearings are matched to a range of .0002. There are 5 possible bearings that could be used on the rod with a total difference from the smallest to the largest of .0007. That's an extremely small distance. So we are dealing in ten thousandths.
