I have an option of buying used Beard Seats (Street) for good price locally.

Have anyone put Beard seats on FJ40?
I'd like to see what brackets do I need to fabricate to get those in.

Any pictures would be much appreciated.

Does the seat have the option of slider mounts or would you mount directly to the rails?

I have been working on some adjustable mounts that may suit your needs. Should be available in the next few weeks.

Here is my setup so far with Corbeau sliders....

As far as I remember the seats are movable, but I'm not sure I can get the sliders with the seats as the guy is planning on installing different seats. If he will buy the new ones with sliders, then i'd assume the old sliders will be mine, but he may get just new seats and mount in existing sliders.
I don't really need sliders as my wife and myself are tall and we are not readjusting the seats when she takes my Daily Driver or I take hers. It would be bonus for me, so whatever it will be. I may add sliders after when kids will grow up...

If he does not have the sliders, Beard probably still has them available.

If you are going to all of the work to do new mounts....you might as well put in the sliders. The Corbeaus that I put in are the lowest profile ones that they make. There is a huge difference even with the slightest decrease in seat height especially with the stock steering wheel.

Just playing around with mine...there is a mega-difference in comfort when you can slide the seat back and forth.

Got the seats last night.
No, there is no sliders. :(

Which ones will be the best buy in terms of Quality/Price?

I would call them and find out what the lowest profile mount they have is.

Who is the manufacture of the Beard Seats?
I've heard rumors that RedArt is the parent company. Does this information correct?
