New BBS-Forged rims on BFG-All-Terrian K02--------what are your opinions??

I think their point is the wheels are barely visible in the picture.

Maybe different lighting or perspective.. these are great looking wheels.

Sorry if asked before, but how much weight savings are these BBS Forged vs. stock rims?

BTW, what BFG KO2 size is that?

Personally would blackout everything at this point. Otherwise it looks strange to see chrome accents with shiny black wheels and black paint. I see you are from TN as I am. You will not like the KO2s with our heavy rain as to why I’m getting rid of mine for Cooper ATS 3 when they wear down. Currently just drive much slower around turns and a bit slower on the freeway when the roads are wet.

Hard to tell from pics, but did you paint the center caps or get the heritage version caps? I ordered the heritage for mine, will be here next week.

I'd recommend getting the corresponding black lug nuts. Looks much better than the silver IMO. Thankfully mine came with them as they were takeoffs from a 2020 Tundra.

KO2s are great off-road, but on-road I don't love them. Looks like a nice setup.
As you can see from this Tundra photo, the black lug nuts make the wheels look a lot better:

Pretty sure stock 18” aluminum is around 31# and if I remember correctly the BBS forged wheels are around 26.

Looks good.

I have black rims too, and they seem hard to get good pictures of. I like the way they look in person though.

I like the look even better with spacers. I also agree on blacking out the chrome, especially the door trim. That being said, if you like the way it looks that's all that matters.

that’s not much difference at all for a forged rim.

I’m not sure I’d want a wheel to be much lighter if it’s going to get used off-road and maintain at least OEM load rating.

Still, 5# of unsprung weight is substantial. Most of us are going to cancel that right out by adding a LT tire with even more than 5# extra in an even worse spot (at the perimeter), but that’s still 5# of unsprung weight on a strong, good looking wheel. Win-win.

I wish the black wheel fad would die along with the carolina squat and flat brim hats. This is coming from a guy that ran black wheels on a white tacoma. They look ok, but I like an aluminum rim to contrast the black of the wheel. That wheel in gunmetal grey would be glorious. My .02.

PS- OP, you have a beautiful truck. super jealous.

Yeah, i understand the unsprung weight thing. 5 lbs is not enough of a difference per tire to spend $2000+.

Oh well, back to planning for sliders.... :)

I've read the OEM silver wheels weigh ~35lbs and I've seen photos of the BBS TRD Pro wheels on a scale at ~27 lbs. I don't have a bathroom scale but lifting the boxes with each in them and I would be very surprised if it is less than that. The boxed BBS wheel is easily managed compared to the boxed OEM wheels. I may buy a scale and weigh them if I do I will post here.

Weights have been covered in the main BBS TRD-Pro wheel thread, including pics of them on the scale.

Might be easier to dig up the relevant posts and link them. That said, someone apparently had an incorrect measurement on the BBS wheel so you need to go another page or two for the correct number.

Yes, I agree about the chrome sides and the lugs.... I really wasn't going for the all black look but the more I look the more I guess I should.

I put the stock size KO2's (LT 285 60 R18) on because I haven't lifted it yet and didn't want to get into rubbing etc. I haven't had long so just easing my way into things. The stock wheels/tires were just to plain for me so the first thing I wanted was to change them. I went with the Heritage center caps instead of the red TRD and as far as the Rain, yeah I understand and guess I'll just have to deal with that aspect as it happens.

Looks great! I put them on my LC200 and love the way they look.
