Just picked up some fresh hickory this morning. Heading down to Charleston tomorrow to start cooking some BBQ for the Pig competition Sat. If anyone is in Charleston Sat and wants to come taste some 60 types of BBQ please feel free to come join me. We are in booth 53 (Pit Crew Bar-B-Que).

Well it's starts about 11 and goes to about 4.

What do you get. More BBQ than you could ever eat. Basically you walk around to various booths. Ask for some BBQ they give you a little cub of BBQ that they have cooked with some sauce on it. You would think a little cup is not much but after about 20 you start only eating BBQ that tastes good on the first bite and tchunk the other stuff. It's all good BBQ it's all different I'm just picky when it comes to my BBQ. There are about 70 teams competing. We usually finish in the top twenty. Placed 6th 2 years ago. Thats pretty good when you consider we only compete once or twice a year. We took a break last year due to my baby.

Well we didn't win.:frown: Not a big shocker. Sometimes I have no control over what the other 3 members want to do. Like throw 8 logs unburned in the cooker while I slept. All in all had a great time was very relaxing this year. Had decided before going into this event that I would not get stressed out about the Q. SHould have pics up tomorrow. Great weather this weekend. Only a few sprinkles. The drive to the beach house yesterday afternoon through Monks Corner 17A was awesome. I love that drive.
