Hi all,
Friend and I have just bought 2 200 year 2011 and looking for a trusted shop to install ARB stuff and more. was hoping for fruitful tips around:
1. Reliable and top notch work/shop
2. will bumpers, shocks, springs impact the warranty
3. seems ARB do not produce steps and/or fuel tanks (extra or larger tank) and/or water tanks (not sure about the last one) - so - if anyone knows where/if (beside Australia) - would appreciate it!
thanks in advance!

Search Slee Off Road. Not exactly Bay Area but not Australia either. Make an adventure out of a trip over to Co, stop in with them for a few days and leave transformed. Plenty of examples on these boards of rigs that have been 'Sleeed'.

THE land cruiser shop of the Bay Area is MUDRAK in Sonoma. He has lifted a ton of 100's and a handful of 200's.
The other shop I trust is Central Automotive in Walnut Creek. They will spend the time and do the research to do whatever you need to your rig the right way. They will be doing my lift as well as future fuel tank setup which requires extra attention for the beautiful state of Kalifornia.

Check A+ Import Repair on Holly, just off 101, in San Carols. The owners are definitely LC oriented.

+1 for Jeff. He's done all my Jeep JK stuff. (My LC is stock) He won't necessarily know how to build an LC like a shop like Slee's that specializes in them. (What are the maximum size tires I can fit?, etc.) But if you tell him what you want, and it is possible, it will get done correctly. His shop is overqualified for bolt ons. He does a fair amount of full on, custom suspension, drivetrain, etc. frame up type builds.

Aux Gas tanks for anything but pickup beds are effectively illegal in California now. The tanks need a CARB EO number and the market size for most vehicles doesn't justify the cost of obtaining one. If one exists for the LC you might have trouble getting it shipped into the state or finding a shop willing to install it.

Certified Auxiliary Fuel Tanks

The Magnuson-Moss warranty act says that aftermarket parts only void the warranty on systems they directly impact.

So in theory, if your turn signal goes out after you put in an aftermarket shock absorber, you should be OK to have the dealer fix it. I'd not be overly paranoid about warranty issues with most bolt on aftermarket enhancements. Lifts and lockers will increase wear and tear on the drivetrain. I'd not expect a dealer to say replace a wheel bearing if I'm running aftermarket wheels with a non-stock offset or a broken axle after I added a locker. Sometimes one has to pay to play. (google/search this issue, it has been thrashed to death on most vehicle boards....)
