Battery leads on a warn 12000

Warn's web site says the Battery leads are 2 guage, they are not meaning 2/0 right? Just regular 2 guage ?

It says 2 ga. which is a common size for making the run from a starter solenoid to the batt. BUT....it seems to me that any extended winching would heat that up pretty quickly.

Personally, I have 2/0 "welding cable" on my 8274 for both the positive and negative and it has always worked very well.

The 2 ga. suggested in their literature may be the "minimum" required (although it doe not state that), just as they normally suggest a minimum requirement for the battery.

Go big....IMOP.
