Well, I was sick this morning, so I stayed home from work. I had just gotten back to sleep when my wife called... her battery was dead (2000 VW Jetta).
I thought I might need a new battery for the 60, so I jumped her off and we went to the nearest auto store. Her battery was checked, it was dead. My battery was checked, it was fine.
So I started taking her battery out of the frigging "lock box" that VW puts them in. It was a harder job than anything I have done on my 60. There were bolts everywhere (especially in spaces that I couldn't reach... had to buy an extension for my socket). After an hour she had a brand new battery and I was soaked with sweat... and still sick. Why do newer cars have to be so damn hard to work on?
Anyway, sorry if this post breaks the rules.
