BaT BAT 1989 HJ61

interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on this one. I will get shot if I chase this as I now have a 62 and 55 which my wife asks why but this looks pretty clean and right hand drive would be fun. Is this “quicker” then my 62?

Sounds like the Prius of 60 series according to the seller. "Daily driving" 30 mpg on 33's with a slushbox??

Love the grey/silver interior and the graphics though.

What do yall think a good price on that is? I hate hate hate the 5% fee on top of the sales price.

Hard to say. Seems the market is getting a few more 12HT’s and 61’s. Looks like it has fixed seats, no lockers and an automatic. Very clean looking truck and the seller vouches no rust (big plus once confirmed). I’m guessing 15ish will be a good deal for both parties. I’m gonna bet they paid a bit more than that if they’ve had it a while. Again, I think the values are dropping a bit due to more of them being over here. Could be wrong and please understand I love these trucks and motors. Have a few 12HT’s and plan to get more if the opportunity is presents itself. Good luck and hope this works out for you.

I think I’m gonna keep looking. But thanks for the insight. The 61 has long been on my short list and I drool over the ones at the Land Cruiser heritage museum every time I’m there. If this was for sale on Craigslist up in Sun valley Idaho I might jump on it but I just don’t love this third party stuff and I imagine the buyer thinks he has something worth a lot more than I would pay. I’ll watch the for what it sells for just to get a better idea.
