mud buds,
PO put tons of sound proofing material in my new 60....:
I can't hear my motor running in my 87 FJ60, even when idling.

Can you recommend a cat back system that will give me a little bass ? little lowride noise...

Cat back system recommendations please.

Trade ya my 60 for yours.
I can hear lifters, knocking and exhaust rattle.:flipoff2:

I would say take it to a shop and get something custom that is exactly what you want. On my cruiser I have a bad manifold gasket/cracked manifold and am getting the jet hot coated 2 peice header from man-a-fre (hey steve-o, i have one on b/o any update?) and then just building custom with the muffler i want. I plan on using a magnaflow because its a nice mild tone, not some loud ass muffler thats going to echo inside_Dylan

I have a flowmaster its a 2 into 1. I like it its not too lound and not too quiet. My entire exhaust is custom & it is on the inner portion of the frame (if that makes sense) I will prob be redoing the single exit soon as it is a little dented and not sure if it will interfere with my new tires b/c of the lift.

I can take picks to give you ideas if you want.

I have the MAF header and high-flow cat. Pretty happy with it. Wasn't happy with the MAF muffler, so I swapped it for a Magnaflow. Sounds better.

There was a thread a while ago about exhaust systems.

I'd like to see a pic of how you routed it inside the frame rail. I want to redo my exhaust again and have been wanting it completely inboard for quite a while.

spook, I will try to get some pics up by monday. I was finishing up my lift today so was working around that a few times.

I have new cats and evderything that the PO did. Looks nice, but I want to redo the aft muffler portion b/c its a little ghetto.

I've got the Manfre system on mine. I like it. Quiet enough to not be redneck but it'll make a nice rumble when idling along at low rpm, quiet at high rpm.

Here's mine routed inside the frame under the leaf pack. Having a hard time trying to knock it of with this setup :D .
I had a local shop run my exhast on the 2F with no muffler just a high flow cat and 2.5" pipe. It was great, cheap ($110) and not really that loud at all.

Now that's cool.

I have a flowmaster on my 60 (put po py PO) and it sounds great

Spook asked for this but thought it might help others as well.
- I have a dual exhaust with aftermarket Cats into a 2 into 1 flowmaster. Hope the pics explain most of it. As it is within the frame rails.
