Well we are Getting closer to June and We had an idea to have an in town barbeque at one of the local Parks..

Post up some ideas of where you would like to go, and What Date/Time works out good!

My Suggestion is To Hold the event on the same day as out normal Meeting, and Go down to Bear Creek Park.. I think the club could sponsor maybe $50 for some food, and Possibly Club members can bring some side dishes. I also think this would be a great opportunity to Post up an Invite to other Toyota's in the Springs, Advertise it on Colo4x4, ect and get a good group of yotas together.

Good idea! I was thinking Bear Creek Park as well.

I think Bear Creek is a fine choice.

I do however think we should have it on a Saturday afternoon, if we can find one where people are available.

We can do some games n stuff. I'm pretty good at bocce ball so watch out ;)

The 22nd works for me. Also, I was at the March Meeting to sign up and lost the paper with the address of where to send my membership money. Can someone send it to me?

Thanks,

David

I should be able to make it on the 22nd. What about reservations?

Looks like $94 for a medium size pavilion, which will seat 50-60 people.

The small pavilion is only $28 but only seats like 20.

It isn't like we have a whole lot of expenses as a club anyway.

well either way, we need to make a decision on it asap.

i dont think its an issue to pay for a spot.. but id hate to do that and have a low turnout!

Is there a Spot anyone elce can think of that can hold 30 Trucks and 50 or so people, nice setting, and free?? ;)

Here is what the city of Colorado springs has for park pavilions.

The park reservation areas are: America the Beautiful Park, Monument Valley Park, Memorial Park (three pavilions and the Heritage Garden for weddings), North Cheyenne Cañon Mesa, Acacia, Antlers, and Bancroft Parks and four reservable areas in Palmer Park: Council Grounds, Lazy Land, the Meadows, and the Youth Camp.

Acacia and Bancroft Parks —
$200 per day

All other parks —
$50 per day

There is Fox Run Park in Black Forest:

El Paso County, Colorado - Parks

Pavilion rates are similar to the Colorado Springs parks noted above:
Small - $28 per day
Medium - $94 per day
Large – $193 per day

As far as pavilion size, would everybody really be sitting down at once? And I don't think a small fee would be out of line to defray the rental cost.

If we rent a big one can we park our trucks under it?

If we rent a big one can we park our trucks under it?

nope, they have Picnic tables under them!

Soo... How do we make this Happen For the 22nd?? we would need to vote on Using Club funds.. The meeting is on the 16th..

Dose anyone have any other ideas for a gathering place.. Its very Possibly that only 5-10 people show up to this..

Just a suggestion but there is also a big all Toyota meet in June at the Castle Rock Outlets.. Maybe a joint venture? There are some free use parks in Douglas county.
