number 1 on my list is O.A.R.

Ths is a band i started following right after highschool. Hell, it was college campus gigs that made them famous.

I followed them to about the time of the release of "stories of a stranger"

They used to be a kick ass reggae, ska, folk, semi rock jam band.

Then the turned pop....supposedly they held out on signing with a record company until they got an offer that allowed the band to not change their music style

Ever since they signed with lava records they SUCK

Now, i have a hard time remembering many of their concerts but the last one i went to back in i think '06 i caught them in Athens.

A college campus right?

They had so many highschool aged kids there that they had a designated drinking area at the back of the venue. What kind of crap is that for a college jam band? And on top of that i'm surrounded by a bunch of kids that can't even watch the end of the concert where they play "that was a crazy game of poker" because they have to be at home in time for their curfew.

I tried to have faith in the band but ever album since has gotten worse and worse and worse.

I hate when a great band goes pop....especially when you have a lead singer that woud be kicked off of american idol!!!!

That band pisses me off

And so does Jack Johnsons new album...too poppy. But i have not listend to the entire album yet so i'll save that rant for later.

For me, any new pop singers except for katie perry (just bc she is hot, but her music kind of sucks). I've started listening to 91.9 in the upstate. Its a new oldies station. It fits my driving style.

I have not listened to a radio in forever.

I use pandora at work and my play list is mostly John meyer (newer stuff), Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, sublime, dispatch, black keys, KOL, Modest Mouse type of stuff.

If i had to put it on a local radio station or listen to MTV/VH1/Fuse id probably find a metal coat hanger and force it in my ear hole.

Dispatch, that's some good s***. I haven't had a chance to check out their new stuff.

I was not aware they had any new stuff.

They broke up years ago then got back together for a few concerts at some north eastern venues i think between boston and NY in which all funds went to Zimbobawa (spelling?)

Was really a sad day when they broke up.

according to wiki they released a new EP earlier this year and schedueled some tour dates!!!

from wiki "The hiatus ended in the beginning of 2011, when the band announced a national tour. In May of the same year, Dispatch released an EP containing six new songs, their first all-new release since 2000."

I had friends fly to amsterdam for their last concert back in 2000.

Rage Against the Machine

Because Audio Slave sucked, and I want to hear some new material. Why can't they just get together for a few months and make one more damn album.

Plus I never got to see them live because they always played the west coast. Someone took me along to the U2 concert at Clemson during the big lemon tour, and we got their late. On the way they said we will just miss the opening act, no big deal. I say who is opening? Some band called Rage something.:mad::mad:

I walk up to the stadium just so I can hear the last cords of Killing in The Name Of from the parking lot.

rage was a good group. I thought i heard that they were getting back together. Mettalica is my current hater. Death metallic was awesome. Sounded like they were back to rocking the hard drugs and such. Now they are working with some other artist whose name i can not remember. From what i hear it sux a#$. Metallica got all that money and now they do nothing!

Rap isn't all that fun anymore either. All they talk about is doing it. What happened to good old fashioned fight songs. Dmx, busta rhymes, no dr dre, crap snoop dog still wraps but so many of his songs contain words he made up that it makes no sense.

I didn't realize that rage ever put anything new out other than their album battle of LA and that sucked royaly!!!

Their self titled album and evil empire were two very cool albums but neither varied very much. Pretty much the exact same style on both albums.

I really liked Audio slave as it took the talent of the band to new heights and Chris Cornell has a voice that could literally peel the paint off of the walls. His vocals really stood out back when he did Temple of the Dog with Eddie Vetter to the point it made Eddie sound bad. I thought pairing that voice with the guitar master Tom Morello was a brilliant idea!

Audio slave had many different sounds as to the one angry one that Rage always had.

I was visiting family in PA outside Pittsburgh when the Beastie Boys and Rage were playing the Igloo (mellon arena).

My girlfriend and i were going to go into Pitt and buy some scalped tickets but right before the show it was announced one of the beastie boys had been in a dirt bike accident and the show was canceled.

Was a sad day for me.

Since then i have been fortunate enough to catch the Beastie Boys when they played at Bonnaroo a few years ago but never got another chance to see Rage.

I like Audio Slave. The guys from Rage are very good musicians. Zack isn't s*** without them just as Chris wasn't s*** without a good band backing him. Audio Slave was good for what it was. A side project. Glad to see Soundgarden back together.

John Meyer? Barf. He sucks balls.

I cannot stand the new rap crap. Country is growing on me and I will always love Bluegrass. I can tell my tastes are changing though as I'm listening to more NPR and WNCW than even.

John Meyer? Jesus dud I respected you. I may now change my mind. I do like JJ though. Haven't heard his latest album.

I rank John Mayer up there with Backstreet Boys.

Never understood what everyone likes about Cornell. I think SG sucks and so does Audioslave. Can't stand his voice and he looks like a homo to me. Like that Navaro dude, I know he was married to Carmen Electra, but he is still a homo.

Having my daughter singing along with me to Type O Negative's September Sun has been one of the high points of the last few days.

Jack Johnson doing Plastic Jesus is a classic but John Mayer? Holy crap.

John Mayer and "your body is a wonderland" is pretty crappy

but then after John Mayer did the John Mayer trio and came back and started playing blues

Gravity (Live) by John Mayer - YouTube

John Mayer sounds like a complete douche in any interview but i will still continue to buy his music as long as he's playing the blues.
