I bought a cia Cetme. It had a bad barrel. They send me a NEW cetme. It was all great untill I found out that they took a grinder to the bolt head to make the bold gap (like head space) LOOK in spec.
I finaly had to write the president and said I was going to have a group of youth shoot the gun at camp. I got a fast e-mail saying to return the gun.

Dan doesn't count, he is clearly the exception to the rule. Providing good service costs money, and the money for that service has to come from somewhere. When company's cut there profit margin to the bone to increase sales they have to compensate for it elsewhere which is where a "service professional" is usually replaced with a "warm body".

I think in 4wheelonline case its was just that they didn't know how to due warranty work for Procomp.

Ording on line and local for a first time is alway a gamble. You don't know what service you will get.
The GoodYear store I had do the alignment and mount the tires cost more than other shops in town so I thought they would do a better job, they didn't.
The guy I usually buy tyres from has the best tyre prices in the S.WI and excellent service but couldn't get the Procomps.

There is only one way to find out how a store does service and thats to give them a try. If they screw up and don't do anything to fix the problem, you go elsewhere and let others know to do so too.

Hope I'm not changing gears here, but does anyone have any input on NITTO TERRA GRAPPLERS

I tried them a couple inches of snow and so far the are good.
I see the tyre tracks in the snow and gravel/sand driveway and it looks like a grader has been driving in my driveway.

Not much noise, yet. I only have 400 mi on them.
Ask landtank, he should have more mi on his.

thanks for the info.
I would like a gumbo mudder like I have on my 76 GMC, but they are so loud and if I'm going to be honest w/ myself the cruiser will see more road than not.

I just discovered this forum & I'm more than a little stoked !

This is my second winter on the X-Terrains and they seem to be running fine. They are my first mud tire ever so I can't compare them to anything else other than an AT. That said they seem reasonably quiet to me.

My WildCountry RVT (mud) tyres were quiet when they were new. They got louder when they started to wear.
Look at the gap between the side lugs. If you want a quieter tire, you want the gap between the side lugs to NOT be even all the way round the tire.
That is, some parts of the tire, the lugs will be close and other parts of the tire they will be farther apart.
When a tire wears uneven or cups, it will start making more noise.
An open side lug will make more noise than a close side lug.

That said, my new BFG semi tires have a close lug but they howl like a wolf, I HATE THEM.

I ordeded a new Xterrain and mounted it tonight. No shaking but it snowing so I couldn't do a good test. They do a good job in the snow.
The wife will let me know if the wheel shakes :bounce:  :princess:

I had a shake this year when I put my X-Terrains back on. Not all the time just once and a while. After some miles though it worked it's way out. I've had similar problems with 3 different sets of BFG ATs. These types of tires don't like to sit dormant without getting some sort of mis shape to them.

Hope the new tire works out for you Kurt.

I got the manager involved and thing are more better now.
They are sending me a call tag for the tires so they will pay for the return.

The new tire is rolling, not :bounce: ing anymore

I sent a long note to the manager so maybe 4wheelonline will redeam its self.

WOW I got my $$$$ back and I didn't have to pay shipping.
It took only about 3mo to get them to see it my way.
I had to pay for the replacment tire but they credited back my card this week.
I am getting better, it took me over 2yrs to get Century Arms to fix my Cetme (gun).
