Hi everyone, I know the correct answer about the backspacing... the correct backspacing for à 60 is 3,5.

But I read some people have wheel with 3,75 of backspacing. The wheels seem to fit very close from the caliper... but it fit.

What did you think about this ?? ???

it depends on how the wheel is made, if the D shaped cut outs have a lip(towards the inside) then even a 3.5" backspaced steel wheel will not fit. But if the D cut outs are flat on the backside........3.75" "should" fit. I have a set of the 4WPs black rock crawlers in 3.5"........they don't fit(without grinding the caliper a bit) but then I have 3.75" Uniques.......and they fit with no issues.

My 3,75 backspace wheel are American racing wheels "Wagon wheel" - the white one.

did you think they will fit ? ???

I have Micky Thompson wheels 15x10 for my 60 and the backspacing on them is 3 5/8... and there pretty close to the calipers, but i think you'll be alright with 3 3/4..
good luck

I've run my fj60 with 3.75, but I moved to 3.25. When I was running 3.75 I had to use "tape-on" weights to balance the wheel. Now I can use the standard hammer on weight which are less likely to fall off.

I don't know if it's true for all manufacturers, but on the three sets of white wagon wheels I have seen in person, the cut-outs didn't have any lip at all. And the only thing I know about one of the sets was that they were purchased from Discount Tire store...

So anyway, I agree with pimp in that you should check for the lip on the cut-outs. It will make the difference. In fact, I have 2.0 back-spaced black wheels and the cut-outs have the lip and they hit my calipers--only slightly though...

Also, I believe 3.75 b.s. is as much as you can go before you start hitting the TREs.

GOOD NEW EVERYONE. :)

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

THE AMERICAN RACING WHITE WAGON WHEEL WITH 3¾ BACKSPACING FIT ON MY BJ60. CLOSE FROM THE TIE ROD BUT IT FIT !!

GOOD NEW FOR ME ! :D ;)

I bought 17x9" Trail ready bead locks that have a 3.5" back spacing. I then added 1.5" billet spacers because I wanted a WIDER stance.

My last set of wheels was 3.75. The only problem was I had to use tape on wheel weights on the inside of the wheel when balancing.

I purchased new wheels this year and got 3.25. Seems to work the same, except I can now use hammer on weights :)
