I said left from not left on:)

It is going to be influenced by the f-toy, But more along the lines of just a fun buggy. The problem is the further I get in it the further I want to take it.

60 days bet ya came a long way:)

C some pics:bounce::bounce2:

I have been sidetracked hard with work, was only home 1 week in the last month and the hitches before that I was in schools for the new company. All I have done is finish stripping it to an empty shell, I am taking some of my work over money to buy a JD2 model 32 tubing bender, just trying to decide on the die size to order, leaning hard to just getting the 1 1/2 inch schedule 40 pipe die as it is readily available and should be plenty strong for just a funbuggy. it is not like I am about to run KOH with it or anything.

Well I tell yall what. Yall hook me up with a phone number for someone that can get me 1.75 X.120 DOM in longer than 8 foot sticks that wont tear my eyes out for the price I will build the whole thing out of DOM and be done with it. But when I go to where I buy my metal in crowley they act like they have never even heard of Drawn over Mandrel tubing and even when I ask for HREW all they say is we have schedual 40 and schedual 80 pipe and thats it. No tubing what so ever.

Everywhere online that I have looked only sells 8 foot sticks, the one place that would special ship me a 20 foot stick wanted close to 300 dollars per stick plus shipping.

As far as build it bigger thats the whole reason that the truck is not running now, rather than band aiding it back together like always I want to do it right this time because it has always been just get it running for the next trip and as soon as the engine would fire put it on the trailer and break it again on the trail. usually due to a failure due to neglect.

I have done next to nothing on it for close to a year because I just dont have the tools to do what I have been wanting on it and if I got it running I would stop worrying about improvements because "hey, it is running why mess with it" this time I am building it and framing it up strong enough for the next project, bigger axles and tires. The electrical system will be dead nuts reliable (crosses fingers) and will be run enough on my propperty using it like a big SidexSide atv that the carb wont be gumming up.

atleast thats the plan.:frown:

Well I bit the bullet. The Bender is ordered.

Now I just hope I can do in metal what I can do in my head.

think the bender will work better, faster & quicker that using your head:eek:
couldn`t resist Josh:lol:

so no need for tubing at this time?

No, was thinking about it before I ordered and even though it wont be quite as strong or near as light itisalot less expensive and will let me practice and make mistakes vs tubing. down the road if I build a full tube buggy i will buy another set of dies and some tubing but for now I am just goign to make due with what I can get my hands on.

That model 32 looks like a beefy upgrade to the model 3, congrats Josh.
Did you go with the electric/hyd or air/hyd?

Manuel... THATS BRILLIANT! I am going to get a Mexican to do all the pulling for me. Well off to Home Depot to get me a messican!

And yeah john, its beefy, probably overkill, but atleast I know I will probably never wear it out.

Like I said at the meeting post up and I'm sure a few BSLCA members would be more than happy to lend a hand. Like John said I'd like to learn myself or at least see it done. If you got it measured and marked for bending we could help you get it all bent up :D

Let me know when you start bending, I would like to come help and get some expirence.
These guys make a bottle jack clamp that hooks to your bender, but of course its cost more money for the model 32. Or maybe fab one yourself.

not sure the amount of psi it takes to bend the tubing but that type of bottle jack isn`t designed not to have the base taking the load

 Nice looking. I see many happy hour building your jungle gym trugy. The nice part is the possibilities are endless on how to tie all the pipe, tubing together.
