Hello all, yes this is a new account but I made it in order to post this engine for sale.
Asking $2000 and you figure out how you would like to ship or pick it up.
Originated from Costa Rica 1977 BJ40. Florida seller only did the import and title/registration and had very little information on the history of the engine. I found an inspection inside the vehicle from Costa Rica that showed 67000km odometer. No idea how accurate that is though.
I drove the vehicle from Jacksonville, Florida to Austin, TX (approx 1035 miles) on I-10 without any engine incident. Voltage Regulator was another story
Working with Landcruiser Specialist in Austin, TX, it was determined the timing was set significantly off, but it was working so we decided to leave it as it seemed to be functional with the injector pump. After brakes and other functional repairs (like the voltage regulation), I drove the vehicle over the next several months within the Austin area with no specific engine issues.
I decided to change the engine in the vehicle and now the same B Engine is available for your purchase.
After dealing with an engine swap, here are some details to know:
Heater nipples removed
3B Exhaust Manifold installed
No alternator
Fan and pulley included
Thank you!
Here is a video of the engine running immediately prior to removal:
