Well, after buying an 03 for my mom at Christmas time, I decide to start looking for a GX for me to play with. I knew it would mean selling my 100 most likely, but thought for a DD it would work out well. I found a 2004 with an impeccable history and high miles that had been in an accident. I plan to do a mild lift and front/rear bumpers, sliders, and who knows what else. I will post up a few pics later, but this wont be a rush. I have my 80, 100, and 200 still to play with. Like I mentioned, the 100 will probably be sold to finance this little distraction. Anxious to keep reading about everyone else's builds. As always, Mud has been such a big help.

Here are a few pics of starting state

With fender and flare put back on for posterity. I do have the original bumper, but it is getting steel in lieu of plastic.

Nice! You don't need that crap its missing anyways! It's like a nice head start to an awesome build. ;)

@BlackUSK56 , that was kinda my thought when I saw it. I got it cheap and mechanically it is solid. Other than the flare being scratched and needing a new fender/headlight, I'm good. Found a pair of headlights on ebay for $25...yes a pair for $25. Fender is repairable, but not sure if ill just replace or not. Thinking Southern Style Speed Rear bumper...not sure on front and sliders yet.

Very nice sir! I too am in the market for a GX and getting out of my 80...

@Onefastrx7turbo , I can say after driving my mom's and converting several others in the last few months, that the "little" GX is worthy and impressive. I'm anxious to get her out on a trail and do some testing. The good ones go quick in our neck of the woods. Be ready to buy.

Yea they do! I've been watching the market in Sandy Eggo and SoCal as well. Typically those trucks never see blazing sun and triple digit temperatures like we have here and of course, no rust. I'm pretty specific on what I want so the hunt is on!

Well spent some time massaging the fender. Headlights are in and a few wiring issues resolved. Waiting on bumpers. Ordered the FN f (x) wheels in the lighter grey and will have bfg KO2S 285/70/17 mounted up. Going to live with the original fender for the time being. Original bumper prior to trim and mount. Mine wont look quite as good as @madtoy made his look. :)

While I'm waiting for steel bumpers. Figured I'd see what it would look like. It's drivable, but I dont want to have to explain that I'm not the one who crashed it! Trimmed @madtoy style

@BlackCat , I am in casa grande but work in Phoenix quite a bit. We have a very close and very active club in phoenix. Copper state cruisers is a good group. Look us up when you get here. Nice gx btw. By July mine should actually be offroad worthy and I can add it to my stable of cruisers without shame!

I guess I should have posted these before. My Metal tech front will be here tuesday, bit here are some picks with the wheels. I did the FN F (x) pros with BFG KO2S 285/70/17s

Then a couple weeks ago, I added the Rancho RS9XXX series quick lift struts off amazon for $185 each. Did the airbag trick in the rear. Gained 2.5" in the front, and about 2" in the rear. This will hold me over until I decide what full suspension kit to do.
