You loose the boost on shifting! I try to guess the gear I need for a hill and then be in that gear from the start. If I find myself loosing speed a real quick change works not bad but you still loose boost.

I ordered a canister filter housing from the local Cummins joint with a centrifical pre-cleaner. I'm going to mount it on my left fender. It has a 3" outlet. It's one of those horizontal industrial types that has a primary and a secondary filter inside (kinda looks like my parents' pool filter). The housing measures 17.5" long and 6.5" in diameter. It should filter the dust nicely and be much less restrictive than the FJ62 housing.
