Im SOA and im thinking about putting some angled shims between the springs and the spring perch to change my pinion angle a little. The shims i have are only 4 inches long, but the perch is 6 inches long. Okay to use, or find longer shims?

"Best' way? prolly not. Will they work? Yes.

From my understanding these come in pretty standard dimensions. Unless you go the custom fab/machine route and depending on what you have, you may not be able to find shims that fit exact. Look around to see what's available locally at a spring shop.

Keep an eye on them if you decide to use them.

It does sound kind of sketchy, huh? Maybe i'll hold off on the shims and see how the trac bar im building works first. (reason for shims was from rotating pinion up too much after SOA) Have since sheared the pinion from axle wrap.
