I am looking at the Ironman4x4 DeltaWing 270* awning, since I think the 270 design would work well with our rear door. Anyone have experience with this awning or 270* in general? I have the LFD crossbars on the stock side rails. Additionally, does anyone have experience with IronMan customer service? I've reached out to them twice over the last 10 days, via their site contact form, and haven't gotten any reply to my queries (wondering about mil discount). I'm not committed to the DeltaWing if someone has thoughts about a better awning. Looking for a single person deployment/stowing strategy though.

Thanks
Dave

When I was with Jake, he has a pretty awesome awning that set's up really quick.
He should see your post and reply pretty soon.

Alu Cab Shadow Awning is awesome. It's pricey but worth it in my opinion. Of all the money I've spent on my rig this is one of our favorites and most used items for sure.

Bush company has the most robust awning I've seen.

I think I've narrowed my 270* awning search to either the Ironman Deltawing or the Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 270 LT. Both are comparable in price at the moment. Any thoughts about either? Bush Company is great but beyond my price point.

I have the Iron Man 270, XTR143. It’s slightly bigger than the 270 they’re selling now. I love it. People complained that it was impossible to get back in the bag, and it does have to be rolled a certain way, but once you get that down it packs up in a few minutes. About the same amount of time my 8 foot panel awnings did. Quality is fantastic, especially for the price. I would definitely go with Iron Man again if I needed a new one.

Don't know if this will help your decisioning process.

That's a ridiculous price but keep in mind that's not the freestanding model. I think you need to pole that one out no matter what. The more expensive ones come out and fold back without having to deploy poles or stakes.

I found another - this is one I actually bought at a smoking deal for the big one (I paid $370). This one is freestanding.

I decided on the OVS Nomadic LT 270* with the wall kit. They are having a sale, and the code VINCEDPRINCE gets you another 15% off. No tax and no shipping fee-I decided against the Deltawing because of the Velcro attachments for the walls. I know Tim Gamiviti did a video on how to modify the walls with a grommet kit, but I didn't want to mess with it. I like the zippers for the walls. Hopefully it works out well. I am planning on adding the Gamiviti rack receiver kit to the awning to make it removable. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions. Dave
