My wife was wayyyyy cool for a Christmas gift, she got me a Safari Snorkel!!

It took me until today to get the time & parts to install the kit. Here is the before:

Here is the truck with the holes drilled:

And here is the completed job:

I've done water crossings that went over the hood; I do not believe the snorkel will get me into deeper water crossings than before. But it gets the air intake above some of the heat and dust. And it looks cool to boot!!

Nice! Brenda said they had talked about that while you guys were over.

The beast looks even better now!!

Yeh Brian, I have you to thank. They talked about it while we were in the garage with your rebuild.

Pasquale, it's hooked up - the job is finished. The air tube runs through the sheet metal - not much to see. After the rain I might open it back up and see if there is a pic to be taken. By the way, where are your Oak Creek photos taken from. That's a lotta water!! Hope all is safe.

Wondering how you connected to the carb? sealed up your OEM filter housing?

The photos were taken mostly from my backyard. Oak Creek Canyon is now closed ( slides) and now that bridge on 179 & Schnebly road is closed as of noon today

You lucky sob :D I have a Weber so I have to booty fab some type of airfilter box. I all ready have the Weber Plenum. Checked out Phil's 80, the 80's have a real nice round airbox/filter assembly.

Still looking for the right thingy

Thanks!
