Hello,
What have you done for an aux reverse/work lamp (particularly if you have a stock rear bumper)? I am trying to decide which way to go to get more lighting behind my truck. The local off-road shop offered to put Baja Designs S2s flush mounted into the OEM rear plastic bumper. Sounds fancy, and expensive. I am also looking at ways to simply bolt on a basic pendant 2”x3” LED lamp under the bumper next to the spare tire. As long as it’s really small/low profile I don’t worry about scraping it off.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Post pictures of what you have done?

If there is already a thread on this, please post the link! My search Fu is weak.

Thanks!

I ran rigid diffused ligts in the rear reflectors of my 2013. They were triggered by the reverse lights and were independently controlled by a switch-pros.

I still have them in the garage (the reflectors changed on the '16, so I can't use them).

Anyone else?
Post pics of your aux reverse light set-up!

I considered adding a “bar” above the license plate and bolting a couple of pod lights to it (like the link attached), but I run a Wilco and a hitch mounted cargo carrier permanently so I think the lights would hit all the other stuff I have bolted on the back of the car.

I've added this to couple rigs. super bright and easy to wire directly to the reverse lights. Not super great as a switched option.

I purchased a pair of Rigid Industries 925513BLK - Midnight Edition Clear lights to mount in cut outs on my stock rear bumper. I have not gotten around to planning the installation and not given great thought to wiring. I figure i'd tap into the trailer "Reverse" circuit and just have them always come on in reverse. I'm out of Switch Pros circuits and also out of dashboard switch slots.

That is an awesome idea, but wiring would be a lot more difficult on a 200 due to the plate being mounted in a different door than the reverse lights.
