I haven't seen this asked, but has anyone considered/know of a auxiliary tank that fits in the open space under the LX600?

It really does look like it was meant to have a secondary tank (there is even a small access door in the floor pan)

Just thinking aloud about ideas on how to extend the range abit.

I saw the website, nothing specific for the LC300/LX600, but that's primarily what I'm thinking...

I can confirm that in looking at the 2025 LX700 service information on TIS the truck was absolutely designed with an auxiliary fuel tank in mind. For whatever reason it's just not equipped on North American models. I'm hopeful that we'll be able to order in and retrofit the international aux tank from Partsouq at some point in the near future.

This is interesting showing the factory aux tank and upgrade to an LRA with spare wheel(s) moved to the bumper. Challenge will be diesel vs gasoline with evap and different setup of the same.

I don't think they have them for the petrol/gasoline versions yet, but LongRanger (Out of Town 4WD) have made them for previous models. You could try contacting Ric Black from Out of Town 4WD and ask him if they plan making petrol/gas versions of the tanks.

Yep, space and integration with evap components and any differences for the LX version of the 300 series.

It is encouraging that there is a product for the LC 300 already 👍🏻

I just googled this and LRA announced a 160L aux tank that requires you to relocate the spare.

Australian LX 600s have an auxillary fuel tank as standard, bringing fuel capacity to 29 gal.

"Exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tyres maximise off-road grip, with serious adventurers now able to go deeper into the wilds thanks to a 30-litre auxiliary fuel tank increasing total capacity to 110 litres"

In view of hooking it all up to the evap/charcoal system, is the Aussie LX600 a diesel (no evap) or a petrol/gas (evap) version?

I think the LX version is gas only and the LC version is diesel only in AU

They have an LX500d in Australia.

Need to reference the LX600 gas Russian edition. Look in Kazakstan or give me a parts list before September/October. I spend a few weeks there a year and I have some friends I do car stuff with. I am mostly off grid when there so earlier is better.

Why Russian over Australia? I would assume it would be easier to get parts from Australia hidden language, sanctions etc...

I just noticed that.

Yeah Australian would be easier since most people speak english.

Edit: one caveat is there was only like 100 lx600 on recall for the motor issue in Australia. So they might be quite rare and parts difficult as well.

Does anyone have a parts list?

I bet they (Russian market) do not have an evap system but I could be wrong.

Basically the ideal situation for that there is a factory tank for gas/petrol and also has an evap/charcoal canister system. Now you can completely “copy and paste” into a US LX600 or maybe even a LX700.
