Well just a guess but it pumps auxiliary acceleration in :grinpimp:

JK.... its kind of like a cold start injector on a fuel injected truck. When the engine is cold a valve is open that allows vaccum under WOT or near WOT to reach it and it squirts more fuel in. Once a certain temp in the motor has been reached the valve is closed and vacuum cannot reach it.

22R?

Helps the motor run when it's cold.

If torn, the motor will run rough until it warms up.

Helps the motor get more fuel when running at high (cold) idle IIRC.

I don't think it has anything to do with power when warmed up like the regular acceleration diaphragm on a mini or LC carb.

Hope that helps.
