O.K. I got my auxiliary driving lights wired, running, and installed the switch where the hand throttle is supposed to go (fits and works great in that location). However, as you know from a previous thread I am going to install a hand throttle.

Question: Where have you guys mounted your aux. switches? If you have pictures of the set up and location it would help my decision. Time to get creative.

Thanks for your help.

On my 60 there were two switch blanks to the right of the steering column. One was rectangular and the one below it was circular. There was also a blank rectangle and ciicle to the left of the column as well.

I chose the rectangle blank to the right of the column because it fit my LED cover switch I was using to wire the lights with.

I'm using this switch, except in blue:

Everone keeps asking if I have "NOS"!

It's nice because it lights up when the lights are on, so I dont' forget to turn them off- unless I plan to use them as DRL's.

Yeah, I thought about using one of the rectangular blanks, but my switch is circular, and I thought it might be hard to cut the plastic cover for a good fit.

My aux light switch is in the bank with the rear heater/defroster switches and whatever else is there. I cut out a little bit of the plastic in one of the blanks that are there. Works great. I can take a pick, if you want.

Drill bits anyone? Start with a small bit to get it centered, then progress upwards until you get to the needed size.

I bought it at a 'performance automotive' shop. I bet Jegs carries them, if not- follow the large exhaust canisters on the civic's in your neighboorhood to the local rice shop.l

I went for the factory look when it came to aux switches and took a factory rear window defogger switch carefully disassembled it. Then I removed the picture of the burning window and make a reversed negative with the letters - in this case AUX LIGHTS - reassembled the switch and placed in one of the available blanks. It looks factory, the letters illuminates/dim with the dash lights and the factory orange indicator light illuminates with the switch in the on position. I have purchased the switches on Ebay and both times it was under $10 shipped.

Here's the setup I have - OEM switch in the blanks by the heater controls. Technically, the fog-light switch is supposed to be in the rightmost blank - I didn't put it there...
