The AUX jack in my 2009 LC stopped working. It would only pick up signal if I jammed the plug to one side and held it in place.

During my research, I couldn't really find information about this issue specific to the LC. BUT, it seems that this same part is used on a lot of other Toyota vehicles such as the Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, Camry etc. Looking at those, it sounded like the most common problem was that a solder joint would come undone inside the jack and all you have to is resolder it back. So I started tearing my truck apart.

It's really not hard to get to. Just pull the knee pads off, unscrew the next sub assembly, pull out the 12v pwr plugs assy, ebrake cover, cup holders, shift knob. Then the main middle console lifts up, all plastic snaps. No screws. Now you've got access to the AUX jack.

I pulled it out, took it apart, and all the solder joints looked great. I tore it down even further and found that the actual metal contacts inside the jack had lost tension. I pulled the contact out and rebent it back into place and it now makes proper contact with the AUX plug! I was super rushed so unfortunately, no pictures. But factory service manual instructions are attached!

I have my working AUX jack paired with this Bluetooth adapter to give wireless music in the LC and it's great.

Nicely done!
Helpful info for those of us who will almost surely run into something along these lines eventually.

Side note - I just pulled the console apart on my '16 and it is largely similar. One thing I'd mention is that the ebrake surround (aka. rear upper console panel sub-assembly) didn't seem to come off separately - I pulled the entire console up as a single assembly. There are a few (3) clips (plastic ones that attach wire harnesses to the underside of the console) that need to be removed in addition to all of the electrical connectors. This was an awesome opportunity to clean that hard to reach sliding piece of plastic at the base of the shifter...
