Automatic or manual dimming mirror for a '71?

I'm tired of being blinded by vehicles behind me.

Has anyone upgraded their circa '71 rear view mirror to an auto-dimming or manual dimming mirror? If so, were you able to bolt it right in or did it need to be adapted?

GM SUV's have nice ones with little lights in them, that's what i run in mine

That's a good one. A sharp blow with a hammer on either your mirror or the headlamps behind will work just fine. Next question?

Haven't seen a bolt on replacement-upgrade. I find rolling my window down while rolling 2 golf balls in my hand works well.

I put one on my 75 fj a few years ago. But I also work at Gentex that makes these mirrors.

My wifes Ford Escape Limited has one. Also I know that some Lincoln Towncars and Cadillacs had them. Might just call around salvage yards.
