Whoa! That is very interesting! Can you get it for a 1991 HDJ81 VX LTD, the JDM version of the 80 series, 1991 model year, 1HD-T Turbo Diesel engine, A442 Automatic Transmission?

Thank You! I'll keep my Fingers Crossed... ;)

Requires a paid subscription and accesible to the US only!

Hmmm... First of all, it requires a paid subscription and second, it's only accessible to US residents. It would have been nice to mention that 'slight detail' at the start of the post...

83bj60,

Sorry, I actually did not know the TIS system is only available to americans, although I did know it only has US vehicles.

I would be happy to take a look at the European system and see if it has a structure that I can comb for PDFs, although I'll have to look into getting a subscription for the euro system as well....

The "subscription" has been mentioned 10+ times in this thread including the minimum cost of $10. I don't think anyone knew (or remembered) that the web site was restricted to US residents. In fact, a member in Poland recently mentioned that he downloaded the LX450 manuals and I assume he got them from TIS since that was where he was told to get the manuals.

Have you tried using the TIS service from Canada?

From my information from my local dealership, specific vehicles specific to a nation (say, Oz spec diesel 105's) must use that nation's TIS website.

But if you can get a subscription to OZ's TIS website then you are golden (or CA, or Poland, etc.).

If you can get access (read: subscription info.) for the US, then you can download US specific stuff.

I'm on my second year of TIS subscription and have found it to be a goldmine. Not only do I fix LC's, but when my mother's Camry takes a dump, I can fix her's too!

Nice job NatorGator. You are doing a huge service to the MUD LC community. Cheers to you and your diligence when you should be studying for your final exams!!

Thanks, NaterGator and Beowulf for your input. I'm looking for manuals for the HDJ81 (JDM spec 80 series LandCruiser, Turbo Diesel), 1991 model year, VX LTD model, in English or French. On the registration page it says 'for US residents only'...

As for the manuals, I much prefer the electronic version to the paper. Paper gets invariably soiled and takes up much more room than say, a CD or DVD.

If I can get all the manuals for this truck for just $10, I'll go for it. Actually to have it all on CD would be preferable, as I am unfortunately on Dial-Up (You can thank Bell Canada for being stubborn, greedy and despotic to keep us in the dark even though we have had fiberoptic lines since 98 and live near the local central)

Keep up the good work!

Chris

Thread updated with 3 new RMs, get em while they're hot ;)

Also, I got a 104% on my Calc III exam, woot! :D (No thanks to this thread!!! ;p)

Technicians reference and wiring diagrams for 1998 TLC. I can't figure out how you're generating the lists otherwise I'd save you the brain-damage. Thanks.

I've been away from tech for a while...

WOW! Excellent work guys!

I finally have some time to try downloading the FSM.

Before I get my subscription can someone tell me where the cookies are listed in IE6 browser.

I'm not only a newbie on the mud, I'm one with the computer.

Thanks

Look in c:\documents and settings\[user name]\cookies.

I actually had a hard time finding it on my machine. The above address doesn't list a cookies folder for me. I must have changed a setting somewhere in IE.

I ended up using Firefox. You can access the SMSESSION info from right within the browser, copy and paste:

Tools>Options>Privacy>Show Cookies

My apologies for taking so long, yesterday I was in the process of compiling a new copy of Apache 2.2.3 with SSL and php, and I moved everything home today and had my computer disconnected for more than a few hours. I also spent alot of time in the ONF exploring trails (read, ATV paths and raping my paint... so I quit) and exploring around the area where I found some jeepers playing on some pretty steep hills and jagged tree rooty bits. They were warning me about some mud pits saying "yeah you better not go in them, everyone is getting stuck" so what is a Landcruiser owner to do but show them how a proper vehicle handles it? (I had no problems stock, but I hate cleaning mud off, grr!)

Anyways, sorry for the delays I caused, not sorry for the offroading delays :flipoff2:

Check back to my post with all the links, you'll find the new downloaders.

EDIT: Re the cookie issue... the reason I'm upgrading to SSL apache is because I'm going to try and develop an application using C++ and WinINET that comes with the package and automatically creates cookies.txt for you once you give it your username and password, but alas I don't want to bombard TIS with malformed SSL connections while I try to develop it, and I've not developed any WinINET apps before, so it will take longer than the spidering script while I get my hands dirty ;p

Bump... thread has been updated with a few requested documents, just wanted to make sure they found them...

just got my TIS subscription.
I had to use firefox to find smsession cookie. (thanks syrinxstar)
Not sure what im doing wrong. I copy and paste the smsession into the cookie in notepad, saved it, then double-clicked begin_download and I get a flash of a DOS screen with files downloading then nothing.

Oh, and it would be really cool to have the 'new features' booklets collected. A treasure trove...
