Start with post #12:

Wow, I didn't even know this was an option. I don't recall seeing this coming up as a Techstream option for my 01LX470. I'm going to try the setting the modes manually per post 12.

I'm not clear whether this is later model years only or LX vs LC, but I do know that my 06 LX does have the auto-lock programmable option, and my son's 00 LC does not.

We used a PAC TR7:

Universal Trigger Module - PAC

to emulate this feature on his vehicle.

Ok guys, thanks. I know on my 2001 Audi A8 it wasn’t programmed in this country . I was able to code the locking module to work. I’ll keep looking. If I find anything I’ll post it.

It's nothing terribly elaborate:

"Connect the GREEN wire to a true ignition wire of the vehicle. Connect the WHITE wire to the lock relay and the ORANGE to the unlock relay. When the ignition is turned on, the WHITE wire will pulse once after a 5 second delay. When the ignition is turned off, the ORANGE wire will pulse once. The ORANGE wire is user programmable not to pulse when the trigger is disconnected."

It's not quite as nice as the factory system in my 06 LX, but it met our needs at the time.
