And a few people have contacted me privately and asked me if "I made money on this deal."

I find that question to be slightly rude and inappropriate;

I did this for the benefit of the 7x series community in the US;

I did not make a cent off of getting these floor mats to the US;

With shipping/boxes factored in, I lost money.

Onur,

I apologize on their behalf. Ive been on this from the beginning and know the costs. Also, people are more than welcome to start their own threads and do their own legwork, i share the offence as well.

Completely agree with the couple of comments above. I know you lost money but even if you did make some cash, so what. You deserve to have at least covered your costs and if you made a little I would applaud you for your work. After all you did all the leg work to find these things. So screw the morons that think that you did and that its a bad thing. Bloody whiners.Good on ya mate for having a go.

I must take my hat off to you Onur, you certainly go the extra mile for your friends on MUD.:beer:

Andrew @Siflersmom there is nothing to apologise for, you did nothing wrong mate.
Don’t beat yourself up about other people’s inappropriate comments.

Your just a bloke who started a thread to find something that was unobtainable to you in your country. In fact because of your quest other people got to benefit as well.
You brought hard to get Toyota parts and people in your community together! That is a beautiful thing. :clap:

Hi from South Africa!
I know that I'm a little late with this info seeing as you have already bought mats, but please take a look at these: Takmats from Takla Products Protect Footwells
takmat.webp

They cover the whole footwel, and are specifically developed to minimize noise and extreme temperatures

Ive been trying to find someone who sells those. Those are LAKKA LIKE A FIRE CRAKAA as my SA friends used to say. Do you have a place locally that sells?

Lekka indeed :clap: I am in South Africa, so I can organize purchase and shipment from here if someone is interested.

I will be in touch probably come June/july for these for sure! Have a month long trip in may that will take up available funds.

My son studies in Redding, CA. He will be home for the summer holidays, but will be going back to the States (with nearly empty luggage) end of August. Maybe he can take some stuff over for you guys, and that will save on shipping.

Just stumbled across this post, i bought a set of these mats in december for a 2002 HZJ78R, but the same ebay.com.au seller had other listings for older and later models.

But i can confirm they don't really fit LHD, unfortunately I have to take to mine with a knife to make them usable on the drivers (left) side as the intended left passenger mat jams up the pedals

He also had some other cool stuff, but all for RHD models

Real 7x variants are RHD.........just sayin"......:rimshot:

I feel dumb for asking that question but you never know....I personally have not seen RHD 70 series (yet).

Billy, please include me in for a set if Onur is nice enough to allow me to piggyback off his order. :) I will take the risk to find out if they fit.

So I bought a set of these RHD Toyota front mats from Onur and turns out they work perfectly for my LHD cruiser. If you own a LHD cruiser and need a new set of mats, these probably will work for you as well.

I wish I could get the rear mat also. I am still using the old one.

Here are some pics of my new front mats installed and my old front ones:

Have you driven with them yet? Mine look like that but I can no longer accelerate to the floor. I drove about 5 minutes before ditching them, i will cut them out but i want to get the finished floor apolstrery in before I take to them with a knife
