I think you are good, I’ll do a firm count tomorrow or Monday after a get home from GSMTR tomorrow evening.

Ok, so here's who I have so far for the big lodge house...reserved from Thursday afternoon to Sunday checkout.

Updated list as of 7-5-25

@CrabCake (me)
@An3
@afgman786 (and spouse)
@MilkEel
@imperium
@JakeisbadatThis
@kouki
@Mojo Jojo
@DC470
@TRDdrew
@kevin in okinawa
@1MOA (tentative)

This leaves us with 1 extra room so far...also, I couldn't get a real answer from GER, but I know that the 3 rooms on the main floor have queen beds, the other rooms upstairs, not sure what the bedding situation is, but I would imagine at least a pair of twins at the least. There are 9 bathrooms and all linens for the beds are provided along with cooking utensils.

We should try to coordinate some food for at least dinner meals...I know the last time I was there, a group breakfast was pretty popular too.

Spouse won't be able to make it, she can't get out of work. I'm ok sleeping in whatever beds available, just as long as i have access to a shower at night i'm good.

For food i'm in agreement that some meal planning might be for the best. I suck at cooking, but my wife will help me get some food prepped so its just a quick reheat or something simple to finish off when we get there. For breakfast, i can bring some home made breakfast burritos, they'd be quick to reheat in the microwave and you can throw them in a pan for a bit to crisp them up.

I volunteer to cover dinner for 1 night, and i can bring 10 breakfast burritos.

I'll text today to see if they have a grill on site at the house...would be nice for evening meals and easier carnivorous cooking!

I like the way you're thinking. Group breakfast and dinners makes it easier for everyone as well instead of a bunch of people trying to do something in one kitchen. If they don't have it I have a portable charcoal I could bring and we could use. Since I won't have camping gear can easily load that up

I also suck at cooking but can bring down whatever food/drinks/supplies are needed and can help out wherever. Just let me know what to bring and I'll bring it.

Sounds like a plan

That looks nice what is the cost for a room?
I would love to have a cheaper alternative to the cove.

For the lodge, it's $900 a night, I booked for 3 nights and would be happy to have a donation towards the cost if you'd like a room (1 more available). Basically $100 a night per room, but I'm booking the space anyway, so any contribution is appreciated. Since it could be a very toasty August weekend, I'm happy to have a real bed, hot shower, and A/C at night...the camaraderie of hanging out with everyone for the weekend is a bonus!

let me look at my schedule. I would like to give that place a shot.

Updated post 45 with current list…should be a fun trip!

According to the updated roster we have 13 people attending so far, so I took the liberty of calling GER today to figure out the layout of the cabin (bedroom situation) and see if they have any other availability.

LODGE: The 9 bedroom lodge (sleeps up to 18) has 3 queen-size bedrooms downstairs and 6 full-size bedrooms upstairs, each has their own bathroom. It has 9 total beds, no bunks or twins. If we want to keep everyone under one roof, I think we can, it just means we bring extra air mattresses (I have 3).

EXTRA CABIN(S): I'm waiting for a call back to see what other cabin size is available that weekend.

As for meals, I don't mind splitting the group into cooking teams - one breakfast, one dinner for each team. Its what we do for Fall Crawl. Keeps the cost of food down for everyone and we all participate. It also helps you sleep in or relax when its not your teams turn to cook, doesn't over crowd the kitchen. Lunch is our own responsibility on the trail.
