I'm starting a thread for my own personal documentation, but more so to help others who may be considering similar mods.
So I owned a '98 cruiser for a few months, all stock, several years ago. Loved it but the timing wasn't right to own and invest in such a vehicle.
I've had my new to me 2013 LC for about 2 weeks now. 62k miles, in great shape. It came to me with some Dunlop road tires and I immediately took it to discount tire to get bfg all terrain ko2s put on it. I'm a big believer in the quality and performance of those tires, but I'm sure there are plenty other great options out there.
Last week, after talking with a few mud members and other knowledable folks, I ordered a set of Iron Man foam cell pro shocks, front and rear, along with their performance springs. I have a pair of front strut spacers from Beno that will be installed as well as the SPC upper control arms I ordered from slee. The uca's showed up today and the other stuff should get here tomorrow. I'm set to drop off my LC at a shop next Tuesday and cannot wait to see/feel the changes. I don't want to lose too much of the smoothness the stock setup offers and j hope I've made a good choice with what what I have picked out. This is a daily driver for me and, although it will see off road use, most of it will be on pavement. I'll take some pics of how the truck looks currently and will certainly update post installation.
