The main stats:
  • $14,500 OBO
  • JTEHT05J742061704
  • Thundercloud Metallic
  • 254,000 miles
  • I'm the second owner
  • Never owned outside of GA
  • Zero rust
  • OME 2.5" lift & suspension (installed 2022)
  • Method 17" wheels (I pulled from an 06 LC we owned)
  • Toyo Open Country AT3 tires with 8K miles on them (installed 2022)

The story on this LC:
I bought it approx 14 months ago from the original owner--an older gentleman in his mid-80s--who'd purchased it in his late-60s at a dealership in a suburb of Atlanta. He was forthcoming with me about its history, which is largely a story of his driving skills not aging well. He hit a deer five months into ownership in 2004. Carfax shows major damage but there was no airbag deployment and the repairs were cosmetic but included the grill, front panel and headlight, and windshield. RIP deer.

He continued his streak of driving with a few fender benders over the course of the next 15 or so years (age probably had a little to do with this). Nothing major, no airbag deployment. All cosmetic. All repaired. When I bought the car, I dropped it at my local Toyota dealership in Athens and asked them to look over everything and tell me what it needed to be sorted and ready for many years more of driving--no expense spared.

Since May 2022, the following was done:
  • New outer and inner tie rods for front end sub assembly
  • New left front axle seal and axle, and new shaft assembly on front driver and passenger
  • All wheel bearings adjusted and tightened
  • New upper and lower oil pan gaskets
  • New steering rack and power steering gear assembly
  • New power steering pump and hoses/lines
  • New drive belt
  • New rear brake pads
  • Oil and filter changed
  • New key fob
The good:
  • Rig is well-sorted
  • Timing belt good for another 40-50K miles (last replaced at approx 200K--I had this double-checked at my dealership)
  • Looks and drives great; lots of life left (Master Toyota mechanic joked, "See you in five years," after performing the work last year)
  • You'd be buying from a guy who insists things are done right and has sold a couple rigs on here before--previous buyers can attest to this
  • Has working DVD
  • Has backup camera
The bad (or stuff I haven't had time to fix yet):
  • Needs new hood struts; hood won't stay up on it's own
  • Had the two front row seat bottoms replaced two months ago--the backs are original and more aged then the bottoms
  • Front passenger door lock doesn't work with key fob
  • Antenna doesn't extend all the way up
  • Radio/CD/DVD work fine but the speakers need to be replaced; sounds like front ones only but not sure
  • Scratches are present on body; a couple very small chips on the hood; paint in decent condition for its age but could be improved greatly with a minimal paintless repair investment
Any additional questions, I'm happy to answer here or via cell. Shoot me a DM if cell is best and I'll send my number.

Beautiful rig, GLWS!

I bought the '06 LC he is referring to in his write-up. Brent is a stand-up guy and a terrific person to work with when it comes to purchasing a vehicle from out of state. He is as honest and accommodating as they come! He went above and beyond when prepping the truck I purchased from him. That being my first experience with an out-of-state purchase that I was not able to inspect myself in person, it could not have been a better experience.

Whoever purchases this truck will not be disappointed. You will be getting a great vehicle from an honest no-nonsense seller!

Great stance on this 100!

Hate to be that guy and ask but are you running 0 or +25 offset on the methods?

Thundercloud is a classic, timeless finish.

Sweet rig. You ever make it up to NC?

I can get it to you in NC if you’re the buyer. We have friends all over the South so plenty of good reasons to take a drive. If you’re near Charlotte, meeting in Greenville SC is a nice halfway pt.

I’m in central NC. Wife went to UGA. Go dawgs.

Nice. Married a UGA grad as well. Go dawgs. Central NC is doable. Not much further than CLT. I’ll follow your lead re interest.

Dang!
