At This Price Who Is Selling Their 200?

Yeah, you're definitely right. I'm sure there is the right buyer out there somewhere. Just gotta find them is all. Appreciate the insight!
If I didn't already have mine I would buy your's in a heartbeat. CL doesn't get the hits like it used to, but listed here or even on Instagram, it will sell.

You can try Bring A Trailer dot com, enthusiast stuff seems to do well there. Also, Cars and Bids dot com is that journalist Doug DeMuro's site, he pushes it all the time on his YouTube vids.

Super appreciate the kind words! Yeah I run an instagram page as well and have been pushing it over there for sure.

Might give Carsandbids a try in a couple of weeks otherwise.

Thansk for the tips!

What I want to know...is who is BUYING...at these ridiculous prices. I watch places like the Land Cruiser Facebook marketplace ads and the prices that some folks are asking...ridiculous. I reckon if you sell something and cash out to buy a Land Cruiser right now it may make sense (but not in my mind). But $35k-$45K for some 2008-2011's is just crazy. Especially with the miles on some of these trucks. 100 Series Cruisers with >200k miles are priced in the mid-20's. There is a 2005 LX here in Idaho Falls. It has almost 300k miles. It's rough. They are asking $16k. In my mind, that's a $10k truck depending on maintenance history of which there is none. I'm softly looking for something for my son who will be driving soon. But I'm waiting at least a year for things to settle down. I believe a lot of people are gonna be way upside in vehicles in the near future. Our trucks are amazing. But they aren't air cooled 911's or vintage Ferrari's. Just me take. But hey if someone offered my a $hit ton of cash for my 200, I'd be tempted.

I wonder if increasing gas prices will start to put a dent in the sale of these.

Yes, by definition. How much impact we'll see though? Given these are already gas-swilling monsters with 6 figure price tags certainly much less than, say, low end work trucks

I doubt it. Most of the people who buy/bought these know they get craptacular mpg and if they bought them new/lightly used have more than enough $$ to fill them up

From your mouth to God's ear. I am just sitting waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting. Betting it will be when gas gets closer to $5 a gallon or more.
Just saw $5.05 at a local not expensive station; east edge of Sacramento County. And, gas here is the most "reasonable" in the state - usually.

I very much doubt gas prices impact +$75K purchases.

No one who can buy a vehicle at that price point is concerned with the pump.

Tail wagging the dog an all that…

I guess it depends how you look at it. To some, it's actually better than any of those. Personally, I'd rather pay $150k for a Land Cruiser or a Supra 🙊

only time will tell but toyota may have pulled a supra on the LC200 and this is the last we'll see of them stateside.

i still watch the market for 200s and the "market" priced (not severely overpriced 200s) are still flying off the shelves.

I have been doing the same and still see that the value has been increasing since last summer.

I'm sticking to my plan no matter the market value. I bought my 2015 CPO in November 2017 for $60k (with 19k miles) telling myself this is my last vehicle. I'm driving off into the sunset with it. I'm now 67 years old and I see no reason to change my thought process? It's a fantastic vehicle for my fly fishing and camping adventures in Montana and the West. Currently 55k on the clock and hoping for 400k plus!!!!

Having been on the sell (100-series) & buy side (200-series) recently I found it balanced things out having got a great price as a seller and a 'meh' price as a buyer.
