At this point it’s gotta be the compressor (1 Viewer)

So, over the last two weeks I’ve been trying to diagnose a problem… the rattle you hear in the video.

I’ve replaced the tensioner pulley and assembly, fan clutch, fan clutch bracket, alternator, and idler pulley. None of which seems to actually have been the issue once I got it all buttoned back up.

The sound seems to be coming from the direction of the compressor and now it appears I’m even having trouble getting it to cycle on from inside the car… anybody have any experience with this noise? I can replace the ac, but before I spend the money I want to know I’m not wasting my time.

I have run it without the belt and the noise is not there thankfully

I would bet its the compressor clutch. I've not heard this exact sound, but it is similar to the sound my kids GX was making when the compressor kicked on. New compressor fixed it.
