I am looking to sell my 1994 Land Cruiser. The LC has approximately
253K miles. I am the 3rd owner, this Land Cruiser has spent its whole
life as an AZ vehicle so you know there is no rust on the frame. There
are a couple oil leaks which I am assuming are the front/rear main
seals and the o-rings on the distributor. The original factory wire
harness was replaced with a known good one, it was replaced due to
shorting caused by the melting of the harness near the EGR.
The interior is factory cloth. The base pad on the drivers front seat
is worn due to climbing in and out of the 80. The carpet is in great
shape. The sunroof works but does not close completely, and is sealed
off with Gorilla tape to keep it from leaking.
The head gasket has been done already and has about 10-15k miles on it
since the HG was replaced. I installed a dual battery setup using
Optima batteries. As part of the install I used a Blue Sea ML-ACR with
switch installed in one of the factory switch blanks. As part of the
install I removed the resonator from the air box to accommodate the
install of the second battery tray. There is also a Blue Sea 150 amp
breaker installed on the cruiser control cover in the engine bay.
Recently the radiator hoses, thermostat have been replaced and a blue
fan clutch installed awhile back. A auxiliary fan has been installed
as well, it has a remote switch inside the cabin of the 80.
The front driveline was replaced with a Tom Woods DC shaft. It
eliminated the known vibration due to lifting an 80 series LC.
The front knuckles have been recently rebuilt as well.
The LC was lifted using an OME medium kit, the front shocks and
springs were swapped out to the 850J and the longer shocks. On top of
the springs there are 30mm spacers. The rear upper and lower control
arms have been replaced with ones from Metal Tech. The front has
caster plates installed and some Marlin Crawler HD steering links.
There are also front sway bar drop brackets installed as well. Wheels
as you can see from the pictures are stock aluminum LC wheels, and
tires are Yokohama Geolandar G003 MT. The tires are worn and will be replaced soon with BFG KO3.
I do have a pair of Battle Born steal bead locks. They have a 4.5” backspace, Battle Born
no longer sells that backspacing but if you run a 1-1.25” spacer with
the wheels I have they essentially have the same footprint as the
wheels with 3.5” backspacing.
A factory center locker button has been installed. With the 80 being
my DD in the beginning of each month I will engage the center locker
manually and with the button to assure it is still working correctly.
As far as skid protection I have installed a transfer case skid plate,
I do not recall the manufacture of the skid but can provide pictures
if wanted.
Brakes have been addressed as well. I deleted the ABS system and LSPV.
I have a Wilwood proportioning valve to add bias to the rear brakes.
The frame to axle lines have been replaced with stainless steal lines.
The front axle to caliper lines were replaced using OEM Toyota rubber
hoses. I am also running drilled/slotted rotors and Power Stop Z36
pads, designed for towing/off roading.
The factory fuel tank does have the notorious crack but I do have a
known good tank and factory skid that will be included with the sale.
Stuff that I have bought that will be included in the sale of the LC
are Battle Born bead locks, Wits End 1/4 panel mount, DIY rear
drawer system, CB antenna (We Boost will NOT be included/going on the
wife’s 4Runner), EIM Keith RAM mounts (might be installed prior to
sale), Nitro 4.88 gears. The winch a Warn 9.5Ti WONT be going with the LC either.
I am sure there are things I am forgetting but I have an extensive
spread sheet of parts that I have bought/installed and I can put you
in touch with my mechanic and he can fill you in on the condition on
the 80 and the work he has done.
With the amount of work done to the LC, lack of rust on the frame,
extra parts included in the sale, condition of the paint I think
12,500 is a fair starting point, might consider partial trades for 2A
items and open to fair offers. Willing to ship on buyers expense.
