60% of what? They have no performance usable tread left.

I wouldn't mount those for free, and that's the tire I run.

That is way more than 40% wear.

I always get a kick outta people selling used tires, first thing I ask is WHO measured the tread depth(an actual tire shop)? and how many x/32nds were they? Not what they're guesstimation is! Everybody wants a tons of $$ for used tires cause they spent a TON of $$ on them, but they still are in fact USED!
Those tires would only be good for trail spares in my opinion, and thats only if there is no plugs, patches, or bulges. $200 is WAY too much for those. Check Craigslist in you area.

Not just no...hell no!

Nutty. I'd use those out on a dock, but not on a vehicle. The severe wear difference between 1 pair and the other pair makes them a very very bad idea on a full time 4WD such as yours. Wouldn't mount them for free cause the drivetrain will fight itself and cost you as much in 6mos of driving as he wants for those useless tires.

Maybe he needs the $200 for a new pair of glasses.

NOT!!!

What's funny is the side lugs are totally clean - they look like road tires for their entire life. Trxus MT's are designed so the outer part of the lugs don't make contact with the road at normal PSI (even stock PSI on an 80) so you only get real wear from trail use until the center lugs are severely worn. Makes you wonder how the owner got such uneven wear on the center lugs other than a total lack of rotation.

Nope, unless you need some drag slicks. Some guy will buy them, just don't be that guy.

I've got some 285 Truxus I'll give you that look better than that. I love my 37" truxus and would buy them again. I wouldn't make a tire swing out of those.

Stuffed

What tread depth did the seller say they had. The Factory spec sheet says that they come with 19/32 of tread which is about 15mm in metrics.

I just bought here in NZ 4 x BFG MTR 285/75R16 for street use on my Landcruiser with 10 - 12mm of tread and only paid $NZ300.00 for all 4 of them. They were fitted to a Mitsubishi Pajero that was lifted and tired. They traded it in at a dealer and he couldn't sell it like that so he took it back to STD. Lucky me being in the right place at the right time.
