Are these from an FJ25 or Early FJ40 Soft Top?

Hi folks:

So, I have been a Cruiser guy for a long time, but I have not had the opportunity to look at any FJ25s or eartly FJ40 Soft Tops directly. I bought some parts from a 1963 FJ40 Soft Top several years ago with the intention of eventually doing a resto project on a truck to be determined at a later date. Given my current truck ownership (75 FJ40, 89 FJ62, 06 UZJ100, and 67 Land Rover Series 2a NADA), I don't think an early 40 is in the cards. So, I have been unloading the parts that I bought, primarily on eBay, because I honestly don't know how much to ask for some of them. In among these parts are what look to me to be locking hold down straps (see pictures). They LOOK like they could be OEM, but I can't find anything online associated with a Land Cruiser that looks like these. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Best,

Reuben "FishDoctor"

I have to agree with John looks like a gas can carrier strap. Probably not Toyota. The one listed in the catalogs are completely different. The gas can itself is different than the US jerry cans and do not work in the same carriers. If you have no use for it I might. I decided to not go OEM and use US gas cans. Not that big a deal, you have four 4X4s I have over a dozen so not sure when I would get around to mounting a second tire carrier to the back of one to use for a jerry can.

Yep, that's exactly what they look like! I really didn't think they were Toyota OEM, but I guess you never know! Thanks for the insight!

I may just go ahead and use them for my FJ40 rear bumper fab. I'll let you know if I don't end up using them ... I'd be happy to send them your way in that case. Again, thanks for the insight!
