I have new tires and a used True-Speed computer and want to know if Slee's installation instructions are also applicable for my 97? His are for a 95. Thanks :flipoff2:

I think there might be some differences in labeling the connectors if you have a LX but not 100% sure.
Mine is the LX and it was the same.
Cheers,
Sean

Thanks for all the replies. I will dig into it tomorrow. :flipoff2:

Dude,

I'm too lazy to check, but do those instructions include enough cable to tweak the truspeed from the driver's seat? When I did mine, Landtank had sent me the instructions with it, and I figured if I was going to place it in the glove compartment I'd add 2-3' of extra line so that I could drive along on the hwy when adjustment time came, and steer with my elbows:D while I placed the key in the crazy thing until the GPS read a steady 60 mph like the speedo on cruise did. Anyway if you would like the autonomy of doing the adjustment on the fly yourself, just add the extra wire so you can run it out from the glovebox to the steering wheel.

Lots of rambling for such a simple though .. :)

Enjoy .. Truspeed rocks. Without it my 36 IROKs would be killin me!

It comes with enough wire, but space is a premium behind the glovebox and I hate a rat's nest of wires. I made mine just long enough that someone else could drive while I rode shotgun making the adjustments watching the speedo and GPS.

Behind?? rats nest?? I just cut a hole in the box, and fed the wires back thru, keeping the unit velcro'd onto the bottom of the glovebox with the wires sheathed in split loom, and coiled up neatly on top of it.
