I will have to replace my leaky heater core in my 1988 FJ62. Did a web search , SOR has aftermarket heater cores for both the FJ60 and FJ62 ($134 each), however they have different part numbers. Also have seen where the search showed heater cores for model years 81-90 are the same part number , Partsouq 87107 . Even a google image search shows the 60 series heater cores , but very difficult to gauge any dimensions between the two. I found a used one that I will have rodding and soldering done by a radiator shop. I am just curious if there are any differences.
Are FJ60 and FJ62 Heater Cores Interchangeable?

They have different part #'s originally, but both supersede to the 87107-90A07 so probably should be interchangeable, but I don't know for sure.

Bump. Having a hard time finding anything but used heater cores. I have found an FJ60 heater core for sale though. Could it be interchangeable?

If the heater core is (for instance) just a little smaller, you can just use a piece of dense foam to fill the space. I used a '77 heater core in a '65 heater box and did this, and it worked well.

Given the similarities of the trucks, it's hard to imagine that a 60 and a 62 heater core are greatly different. @Coatch1647 - you may have to be the guinea pig who finds out. As a first step, I would look at the firewalls of the two trucks and see if the hole spacing is the same.

They both have super'd to the above part # so they must be the same or similar enough to work. Too bad cruiser corps is sold out. Their unit was a good quality made in Mexico part.
