Thinking about going this route for my truck. I am a little confused by the part numbers. Based on the ARB 200-series product list, it looks I would need to following for my 2008LC. What exactly are these? I assume one is the top step and the other is the rail bar.

4415020 - ARB SECTION STEP (SUITABLE FOR ALL MODELS INCL. KDSS)
4415040 - (return)

ARB sliders are different for 2016+. So, your 2008 would have different parts number i think.

Exactly...hence the question on the part numbers. Does this look accurate?

2008-2015:
4415020 - ARB SUMMIT STAND ALONE STEP (NO SIDE RAIL REQ’D)
4415040 - ARB SUMMIT RETURN

2016+:
4415100 - Summit Step Section 200
4415120 - Summit Return 200

ARB sliders are different for 2016+. So, your 2008 would have different parts number i think.

I think so. But you may want to call ARB just to confirm.

Do you have a local retailer that can order it for you? For me, this was key because it saves a lot on shipping cost!

BTW, i love my sliders. ARB put in a lot of thought in designing them. The bolts are protected from off-road damage and very beefy. And best of all, they are fairly lightweight!

^^^ Good call! There are a few shops somewhat local, I'll see what they can do...thanks!

Yeah, if you get it, then you and I are in an exclusive club of being the only ones having Summit sliders! I am currently the President, secretary, and sole member of this club. :D

I need to keep shopping but it sounds like the 2008-2015 prices are much more than the 2016+ which might put them out of reach for me. @Madtiger can you shoot me the dealer you used? I am having a hard time finding a local ARB dealer that wants to facilitate the purchase.

2008-2015:
4415020 - ARB SUMMIT STAND ALONE STEP (NO SIDE RAIL REQ’D) - $1330 > $1077
4415040 - ARB SUMMIT RETURN - $700 > $525

2016+:
4415100 - Summit Step Section 200 - $821.99 (@Madtiger price)
4415120 - Summit Return 200 - $238.99 (@Madtiger price)

@Madtiger by any chance do you know if these will fit on an 08 LX? I have the AHC system that may interfere with the mounting points. Wondering if the ARB is an option as I like the look a lot, but I don’t see the LX specifically listed on their website. I’ve emailed them several times over the last two weeks but haven’t heard back.

The AHC system on your LX should be very close to what is sold on high trim level cruisers in the rest of the world. So if you find a reference that this system works with AHC equipped cruisers I’d say things are looking good. If they specifically exclude AHC models.. not good.

I don’t believe that they fit any year LX. Only for land cruiser. One of the members here called ARB and confirmed it.

@grinchy I think who called them

I really like them. For me the design makes it look like fancy OEM boards for better or worst depending on your taste. It blends in with the rims and chrome elements of my LC.

I never reached out the ARB, but another may have. I looked at the install instructions pictures and decided it was a no go. I think one of the feet is inevitable to need to be moved; probably not hard if you have a metal shop, but it was beyond my tooling.

Luckily there are TWO shipping solutions for the LX now, Metaltech 4x4 and Slee both have LX570 specific sliders.

I'm about an hour away from my truck, but here are a couple of shots from different angles. They got pretty dull so I put some phosphoric acid on them to brighten them back up.

Are the installation instructions for these available online anywhere? I just spent some quality time with Google and came up empty... I've been seriously considering BudBuilt and trying to work out scheduling with Rob, but am having trouble getting them nailed down on a schedule so I can plan a trip around going to their location for the install. If I'm being completely honest, I really don't need the extra heavy duty protection BudBuilt would give me, but have been considering them anyway because the cost is similar. I'm not considering options that require drilling and/or rivnuts, which rules out most, if not all, of the other options other than ARB and BudBuilt.

It comes with instruction booklet. Not sure if available on-line. Installer had no issue installing them. And like you said, no drilling nor need for rivnuts.

After over a year with them, i love my ARB. Looks like factory installed. Fancy looking.

I know you had someone install them for you, but do you have any idea if the install would be much more difficult to DIY without access to a lift? I don't have an installer nearby that I'm comfortable with using (there could certainly be one I'm not familiar with, but the Boston area doesn't exactly have the big offroad market that some parts of the country have), so I'm trying to figure out if I should continue pursuing things with BudBuilt (I'm getting kind of frustrated with their communication), DIY install the ARB, or try to find a nearby place to install the ARB for me.

The story at BudBuilt seems to keep changing - first it was availability of steel, then I was told the powdercoater is the biggest obstacle, timelines seem to be all over the place, they aren't good about calling back, and so on. I know what I would want to get from them and just need them to say they can have it built by THIS date, schedule an install for a short time after that date, and be done. I'm a bit concerned that if I place an order and plan a trip around a promised install date that the date will end up changing multiple times and that's something I don't want to deal with along with having the money tied up the whole time. My company is pretty flexible about taking time off, but I want to ask for a block of time off and be able to stick with it so I can make hotel reservations and my coworkers will know when to expect me to be away.
