Another hick-up today. We've spent two days of trying to get running and turn lights to work. A call to ARB informed us of a solution. First, an explanation. The rear bar comes with running (amber) and brake (red) lights and a wire harness to acommodate. A later call revealed it "may" not be needed, depending upon model. After noticing brake lights also act as turn signal and the running lights also act as brakes we called ARB. This is when we found out wiring harness is for European models. Solution now is the replace amber lense with red. Confussing, for me yes.
The installers are trying to separate the signal so we can keep amber light. I like the look and am willing to accept funky turn signal and keep amber running light. Also, bumper has been cut and installed. Looking much cleaner now. Will post pic when trim is installed.
I don't think this will be possible as there is a computer that controls the relays for the lights. The tail lamp is the same bulb for both turn signal (flashing high), rear lights (constant low) or brake (constant high). I beleive it is controled by the voltage to the LEDs.
The only way for the ambers to work correctly is to T-tap them from the engine bay where the fog lights from the ARB bumper connect. Here, there is a dedicated turn signal +12 for each side. They could run a wire all the way from the engine bay, down the frame rail, and back up into the bumper on each side.
As far as I see it, this may be the only way. It's not as difficult as may sound.
