Vince,

The rear bumper looks good, was it a pain in the ass? How are the dual batteries & compressor coming. By the way did I mention the truck looks good.

Dual batts? My ears are open!

JB,

You will have to talk to Vince and Cam. They build it and I pay them money, then we repeat the process again and again. They have more time in my truck then I do.

They are doing an ARB fridge and addition lights for the roof rack both front and rear. About the lights, yes I admit it my name is Steve and I am a light whore.

the dual batts are still in progress.
when the setup is installed there will be pics(patience grasshopper)

the compressor is being headed up by Jack today.

the rear bumper was definatly a pain in the ass!

Nice looking rigs guys, its nice to see these being used and modded. JB you might was to talk to Slee as he did dual batts in a 200 he built.

Yes, I have talked to him about this setup. I didn't get the feeling it was perfected yet. I'm not a big fan of mounting the batteries sideways. I'd like to see the power steering reservoir moved and install a battery on the PS. Right now I use that spot for my 4 HID ballasts, which could easily be relocated.

i can tell you that on this build, we will be mounting the aux battery sideways.

it will not be placed on the passenger side.

the arb compressor is mounted next to the p/s resevoir.

One of the advantages of running Optima batteries is that since there is no fluid in them they can be run upside down with no problems. However I do understand your reservations and probably would have the same if I was doing this. The turbo diesel models have dual batts, with the second batt located behind the USPS headlamp. If you can find details of how Toyota sets up the ancillaries your problem would be solved.

Here are a couple more shots. I need to take a measurement from ground to bumper but I do think departure angle is equal or a tad worse than stock.

Simple question. I assume the upper part of the rear hatch won't open with the tire there huh?

Nope, not a chance. On the flip side, not that bad having to open swing-outs, thought it would be much worse.

I am thinking to ordere same setup for my LC200 but I can not find info about hi lift points in rear bumper with left&right swings. Is there any?
There are soooo many better options than ARB for a rear bar. Its like a 20 year old design made to fit the 200 series.

The wings on the ARB are basically unsupported and I would not recommend sticking a hi-lift under them.

Well, I am in Europe, not even EU and I can get only ARB and Kaymar. I can not get USA products. I did not see anywhere any, like Slee or Dissent etc. That being said I have just 2 options... And Kaymar is twice in money compered to ARB. But, I am opet to hear suggestions

@Darije If you can find conveyance to the EU for the pallet, you could get an RLC with dual swings. For US shipment RLC uses a shipping forwarder in the US (Fastenal). You could look at the Fastenal page and see if they do international shipping.
