This is a general drawer question, but since I own a 100 series I put it here.

I am about to get one or two ARB drawers and trying to decide on the configuration. I am going to get one of the following:

-Fixed floor(2) and fit kit on both sides
-Fixed floor(1), roller floor(1) and fit kit on both sides
-Fixed floor(1) and fit kit on one side
-Roller floor(1) and fit kit on one side

I have searched and it seems some people like the roller floor for the convenience of fridge access, others say it's more of a pain because everything falls into/behind the roller floor when it is extended. For example this thread:

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/outback-drawers-roller-or-fixed-top-for-fridge.809417/#post-9241714

Just wanted to get the opinions of people that have used one or the other or both. Likes, dislikes, etc.

Since the roller floor has more moving parts, does it rattle at all?

Thanks!

I have both drawers with the fit kit on both sides and it does seem to maximize the storage if that is what your after. I have the ARB slide for the fridge and that does help with the access but its not too bad(I can deal with it). It is a bit high and you need to kneel on the tailgate to access the fridge. I dont want to store anything above the fridge, so if I need the space, then I want the storage space under my fridge.

The fridge roller slide that I have is a bit noisy on rough road, but I have added a bit of felt tape and that seems to help.

I have come to terms with the fact that stuff will fall behind the fridge, and it's worth the compromise. I use a cut-down bungee net thing- have loops around the top of the drawers left of the fridge that hold all of the camping gear in check when the fridge is extended. Every once in a while something still falls down there, but the right side is the narrow of the rear seats, so easy to shove whatever's on the seat over and flip the seat down, to gain access to clear the blockage. Also the space on the sliding floor behind the fridge is useful storage- I'd go with the sliding deal again for sure.

edit: this is likely the best thread here about these things https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/outback-solutions-arb-drawer-install-and-review-2011.510299/

Build a fridge barrier.

I would still have this space with a fixed floor no? Unless I am not understanding what you are referring to.

Thanks, forgot about that one. Will post there as well.
