Hi all,
Green as Kentucky fescue , I'm opening my first post with a query regarding my wish to attach a new ARB bull bumper with PTO winch to my Japanese imported Right-hand drive 1984 BJ-61.
One post I've read for a slightly different model required many modifications.
Is there a post out there I can refer to or some advice on the simplest way to make this all happen for my truck.

Maybe a better choice would be to to start from scratch and have a bumper built custom just for that winch

Here's one of them it's not really a that much work to fit the arb over the pto winch.

thanks OSS. I was thinking just that. I just happens I know a clever welder/fabricator in my community that has the ability to probably pull that off. It's a very likely consideration.

Pictures of your BJ61 or we don't offer advice ;)

off the boat from Japan like this with Recaro bucket seats and huge mudders and fender flares. The latter were not my style so off they came with the last body and paint. I use this truck practically every day for work so a serious rack for building materials was a must.

Cool! Nice rack 😯

I noticed the shackles on the front and very nearly on the rear are almost vertical...Seem to recall that this can really negatively affect the ride quality lending to excessive harshness. Just an observation.

Truck looks great....too bad the taller roof models were never standard in the USA...seems like it would make it just a little nicer back there for camping etc.

This may be true about the shackles.
I had the suspension redone some 7 or 8 years ago by a guy who does a lot of commercial heavy duty equipment.
I asked him to specifically give me more payload capacity which took precedence over comfort.
It is a working truck and it really does the job well. I can't complain.
The original lift work from Japan was marginal, especially the shackles.
And yes... the extra few inches of head space makes camping and carrying cap. pretty convenient.
