FWIW I ordered the VL45ProS Single Zone Portable Fridge. I hope it works out well. I like the dual side lid opening, internal lights and usb's. Hope it works out for the footprint I am looking for.

Gull wing window plus rear opening fridge equal awesome. Plus taking the lid completely off for loading/cleaning. I've had a 65qt for years and always wished I had the features I mentioned.

The sturdiness of the steel lid and how it seals does seem better in the standard version though.

They have upgraded lid that seals tighter. Iceco sent me one for my VL45ProS I bought in June. Received new lid end of January.

Being able to position the fridge with the display to the back and still place it on either side of the truck with the dual hinged lid is a major plus. But it seemed like the lid didn't seal as well as the standard VL45 to me in the videos I watched. Is the upgraded lid a recent improvement?

it appears they went with a slightly different gasket material and either it’s thicker or the channel it sits in has been mad just slightly less deep. Hard to visually tell them apart but when you poke or squeeze the gasket it becomes clear. Also, the lid does seam to have a lot less plat than the old one.

Did you request a new lid? I noticed today after seeing your post that the lids on my VL75Pro aren't tight and the gasket sinks below the lip if I touch it.

Yes. Back in November but they didn’t actually have the new lids until mid-January and they promptly sent one out. Excellent customer service.

About that… I am not sure as I left him with my work number, and no one has mentioned a call. The phone I have been waiting on is shipping either tomorrow or in 2 weeks (want to try the s22 ultra’s 108 mp camera sensor for 3D photography projects), so I did not renew my visible membership this month.

I will try again, if someone still has his cell handy please dm to me, to save me some digging (I have it in a few places, somewhere likely in the jungle of iceco DMs).
