I got my AC50s on Saturday. Started my test run (fully charged) yesterday at 10am and it died out 1pm today. Temp was steady at 36* and 38* for my dual 65L. I set both compartments at 38*. Inside truck temp is probably around the 80s in the back of my truck. It has been on the warm side here in SoCal. On Sunday I ran it with the solar panel from 10am to 4pm from a completely drained battery, same environment and had a 30-40% charged battery. Overall, I think I'm pretty happy with the setup. I might pick up another solar panel to charge it faster since we will not be getting the kind of sunlight we've been having. This way I can have the solar charger fully charged by the end of the day. Another note, this panel seems to be quite nice. I was getting in the mid to upper 90s watt from the panel. It was clear blue sky though. Also, in the evening, the AC50s shows the iceco pulling 0 watt at times. Not sure what to make of that other than the fridge was on but compressor wasn't running. At start, the fridge would be pulling 45-50 watts with compartment fridge temp at around 55*.

Hey I have a question about the bluetti. Is it normal for the AC50s to run its fan constantly while being charged from AC (wall outlet)?

I've only had for a couple of days and charged it twice from the wall outlet. It does seem to be running the whole time. I really haven't paid attention.

On another note, any idea how to connect this solar panel to another one like the paxcess one?

According to the manufacturer, the paxcess solar panels can't be connected in series or parallel. I have another paxcess panel coming this Friday and will test this out. I'll try series and parallel to see if anything works.

This one is back on special, 296wh/350w/700w peak. It claims to have a 12v DC regulated power supply but i haven't tested this out. It says it can charge up to 65w from solar but this is underestimated. I have charged it at 70w and someone in the Amazon reviews was charging it at 75w. The wireless charging pad claims a max charge of 10w but this is also underestimated. It has charged my note 10+ at 15w but the charging pad gets hot. I have charged my phones and laptops and even ran a 55" TV without any problems so far. Seller claims 1000 cycles to 80%. I haven't tested capacity. I haven't been able to get this one or the bluetti AC50s to fast charge my note 10+ through the USB C port

Even better 100 off also

Thinking about this, it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's the charge controller that regulates the input, not the panels. So really, as long as you can make the right connections, it should work, if your charge controller can handle it.

If I were you I would try one of the panels that comes with a parallel cable and try it. I went with a 100 w foldable Big Blue one since it was on sale for 140c and comes with a cable for car battery directly, And since it’s my first panel. Next one I will get will be something like the zoombros foldable 120w since it comes with a parallel cable.

I did read on amazon that the Paxcess one does not allow parallel charging (I don’t get it either), and so I chose another. The paxcess was my first pick since it was 60 bucks off on prime day, until I read about lack of parallel. Let us know what you figure out!

This is what I was hesitant about before getting one. I pulled the trigger anyways because $160 out the door directly from them was good deal. I have another one coming this Friday and will test it out to see what happens.

I just tested the paxcess panels and they can be connected in series or parallel. I read an Amazon review where the person mentioned that their output drops to zero when connected in parallel but this isn't the case, at least with my set up. I did buy relatively expensive 8mm female to MC4 cables. The parallel adapters were fairly cheap.

What about a splitter? My Jackery Explorer 1000 came with a splitter that allows two 8mm connectors and combines them down to a single Anderson plug.

This would be a parallel connection and I think it should work as well. I thought about buying a similar cable at first to test out, but decided to go with the thicker gauge mc4 cables to be able to test out both, parallel and series connections.

I ended ordering a TP solar 120w panel and a parallel cable. Will see how this thing works. The main reason I got this panel is because I can't find a 5.5x2.5mm female to mc4 cable for the Paxcess. Also, the panel is really thin and their customer support seems to be really good.
It looks thin enough for me to deploy it like a windshield shade and get just enough to maintain the the fridge (@30-50w). Or I can zip tie it to the roof rack.

Good stuff! I was really eyeing the TP and Paxcess one, maybe you can post a review to let people know the parallel works, as that greatly affected my decision to go with another panel.

I'm going to test out the Big Blue panel 100 W right now, that the sun is out and shining brightly.

I'll show the panels working in series as well as in parallel with my set up. I'm just waiting for a decent day since all these days have been pretty cloudy. I'll post pictures and maybe a short video.

Just pickup this bad boy this week. I was torn between vl60 and tr60 but I ended with tr60 due narrower side. Now, just waiting for my ac200 to arrive to complete my setup.

Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts bud! Thank you.

My thoughts on the TR will come with my youtube video i am making for it, but i will just go ahead and say solid choice here. The reversible lid and the wheels are a must for anyone who ever wants to take their fridge with them to places inaccessible by car.

Also, don't forget your solar panels for endless refrigeration! I ran quite a few tests and these things really do not use much power once the initial cooling is done (first power up/first load of groceries).

yeah, I ordered the ac200 with 2 panels. That should take care of the business. Honestly, I think the weakest point is the lid. I feel like it wont sealed as tight as the vl series. Well, time will tell how it hold up.

Good observation, and you are absolutely correct. The biggest indicator of this is when you freeze things, and the lid becomes heavily condensated/wet on the outside, which i assume is from cold air escaping around the lid seal area. One good way to test is to throw a flashlight into the fridge, close the lid, and see how much light escapes through the gaps.

I did notice that too, but because its so efficient on power consumption, it didn't bother me too much that it has to work a little harder to compensate for less of a seal. But very good observation and thanks for alerting others. I will be sure to mention it in my video, along with the slow customer service response rate (a very honest video but ultimately good things to say about ICECO).

so my jp30 is now freezing everything no matter what i set the temp to. any insight or suggestions?

i have it setup in a camper shell. the temp display read 59 degrees and i have it set to 40 but i have exploded frozen dr peppers!

and it read 90 when i powered it up...and it wasn't 90 outside. it ran like a champ last week :(
