Air pump, power steering belt broke will driving it without it hurt anything? Also what's a good rule of thumb for tension on that thing? I think I overtightened it during my alt. replacement. thanks!

Tighten until you get about 3/4" deflection at the middle of the longest span IIRC.

Can't help myself from commenting on your sig - it's an ancient blasphemous chant, The Crucifixion Rock:

"Hands are nailed, feet are tied. Can't do the rock 'cause I'm crucified"

It's pronounced Cruise, ified. Common mistake, I don't mean to be blasphemous, maybe i should change it to "Landcruisified"

Any advice on running it without belt on? anybody?

Shouldn't be any problem to run without that belt, You still have the alt. belt running the water pump. you won't have any power steering.

I wouldn't run across the country, but shouldn't be a problem around town.

as long as the waterpump and alt are hooked up.....your OK
