I see that the 2010 Land Cruisers are finally starting to trickle out, but does anyone have any speculation on what updates we may see for 2011? Its great that Toyota is finally making rear privacy glass standard all the way around again for 2010. I thought it was so odd that this $70k luxury SUV didn't have that in 08 when the previous model did. But I am looking for more. Would it be unreasonable to expect real genuine wood trim for 2011? Or HID/LED projector headlights? Land Cruiser's competitors (Range Rover, Escalade, GLK, G-Wagon) all have these features. Anyways, I am glad to have joined this site. I am a long time Toyota/Lexus enthusiast/owner and would like to be able to consider an updated Land Cruiser in 2011.
Pretty lame they don't have real wood and HID lights and heated exterior mirrors in the 08' and 09' land cruiser. They do this in order to keep the cost down or otherwise people wouldn't buy a LX 570. Also, its supposed be more of an off road adventure vehicle than a mall driver like the LX 570. I would get a year old land cruiser before buying a brand new one. I browse craigslist and other places to see what the 08's are going for and they average around $48-51k with 11,000 to 21,500 miles on them. So they are holding there value really well for an SUV. Check out used Range Rovers and Escalades and even the GLK and there even worse in resale value.
