Anyone with an early 80 in Apex/ Cary (1 Viewer)

I am finally trying to install my a/c system in my 62 and am having a little difficulty. I'd love to check out someone's 80 to see where things actually mount. If anyone is around today and has the time, give me a call and I'll come take a look.

Not sure looking at an 80 would actually help. The 3FE's are slightly different and I think that the ac mounting was one of those. PM brett, shellb, he might be able to snap some pics of his 62 for you.

I've looked at both a 86 and an 88 and neither of their engine compartments matched, nor did they match mine and since the early 80s had the 3fe, like mine, I thought they might match up. Is this not the case?

Per usual, the FSM assumes that I know more than I do. It also caters to those that are replacing things, not to those that are starting from scratch. Any other resources that are reliable? I was told that Alldata.com had everything. Any opinions?

I keep telling myself that the cool air is going to be worth it. We shall see...

An 86 has a 2f but an 88 is a 3fe and should be exactly the same for you. There are only 3 (that I know of) 3FE powered 80's in the club, mine is missing he AC so I can't help you.
